Great food, and really good theming. Reasonably priced especially with 20% discount with the merlin pass.

The Crooked Spoon is a quirky little restaurant set in the heart of the Enchanted Village within the grounds of the Alton Towers Resort. Offering a family friendly-setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there is a great selection of family favourites and unusual offerings on the menu, while the high ceilings and wooden beams give the restaurant a delightful rural feel.

The Crooked Spoon menu spans the entire day, starting off with buffet of full English breakfasts with all the usual trimmings. The main menu features a range of British favourites with quirky Crooked Spoon twists. Start with a potted prawn cocktail or BBQ chicken skewers for starters, before sampling the battered fish and chips or a tasty choice from the Crooked Spoon grill. There is also a variety of vegetarian dishes, from a roasted summer vegetable carbonara to a slow-roasted beetroot, mixed pepper & sun-dried tomato salad.

Desserts are just as show-stopping as the main menu. Treat yourself to a Village Sundae, or be wowed by the beautiful rainbow orange meringue pie – a true family favourite.

A family-friendly restaurant with a welcoming ambience throughout the day, The Crooked Spoon is a 30-minute drive from Stoke-on-Trent.

We visited as a party of 5, with one having a good allergy containing eggs, very limited choice. Overall we thought there could be more choices of main menu, and was overpriced for the amount we got. Prob wouldn't eat there again.

Dinner - Food was ok but arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. Drinks followed about 10 minutes after this.... Breakfast was ok. Very busy.

Breakfast was very good, good choice warm. No real atmosphere feels like a school canteen in and out as fast as you can. Does the job when u want fed and out quick in the morning.
Ate once at night, fair choice. Seemed as if it was frozen food rather than fresh food made to order. The pizza and pasta In the park much better value for money, cheaper and food was freshly made would recommend dining there.

What a lovely place to eat not to far from our splash hotel the food was lovely my wife had the steak with jacket potato and fried egg I had beetroot salad with sundried tomatoes and halloumi and our daughter had cheese and broccoli pasta with boiled potatoes and vegetables the food was excellent piping hot and good size portions we also had two desserts which were very nice to. It was nice having waiter service and the surroundings was nice with play areas outside for the children and looking at the little huts which look something out of the hobbit film. Only thing wrong was the price of drinks but it seems all the hotels have the same price range so not much to grumble about really. If you stay at Alton towers for a night I recommend you give the crooked spoon a try. You will not be disappointed

The staff were lovely and attentive however we was disappointed with atmosphere and seemed like their was no theme to the room I felt like I was in a school hall.
