My husband and I were on holiday and always wanted to try the restaurant , we were not disappointed , the food was delicious atmosphere very relaxing and all the staff smiled the whole time . A special mention for Sammy the waitress she was delightful. Can’t wait to return.

We had dinner at the Cove on Tues 7 July, just after restaurants began to open after lockdown. We had a really lovely evening. The food was fabulous - the seafood was delicious, the steaks were cooked to perfection and the duck was the best we have ever tasted. The service was relaxed and friendly (the staff's facemasks and gloves were reassuring and proved no bar to good service and general friendliness) and the ambience was great - the positioning of the tables meant that we felt quite safe in terms of social distancing but the atmosphere was still very pleasant. And of course the views out to sea made it a memorable experience. We would love to visit again in future.

10/10 experience, delicious food, delightful staff (wearing masks & gloves which we appreciated) and, as always, incredible views over Maenporth Beach. It was a complete treat to be eating out once again.

Overall experience was sadly average, I was expecting more! Your staff are delightful however your food less so. Don't get me wrong our evening was great but that was down to the company, the fantastic wine, delicious parfait starter and side of fries. Over cooked spongy monkfish, warm rather small portion of linguini and a 40 minute wait for our desserts was not what we were expecting from a new Micheal Caines restaurant. Maybe we should have mentioned our concerns that evening but we were treating friends for supper and it seemed the wrong subject to bring up. Anyway- I’ve booked for lunch in Aug, fingers crossed second time lucky.

We dined at The Cove the first night it opened after lockdown. The food was generally very good and the service, whilst understandably a little slow, was friendly. I'm not sure whether The Cove is aiming to be fine dining or a casual seafood restaurant & bar.
