First time to the Cinnamon club and we were not disappointed. Service was attentive and understated, decor was interesting and impressive, live music an added bonus and of course the food was unusual and exquisite!

overall an uninspiring, disappointing meal. All the courses had a ready made look and taste. Both starters were just about satisfactory. The main course, on the other hand, had been clearly left under the hot lamp for too long, the flavours were unexceptional. Whereas the service was very good and attentive, the CC simply fell down on its food.

I have absolutely no problem with any business making a profit, including restaurants, but it shouldn't be at the cost of everything else. When booking we were aware of the price and expected to pay a premium rate on Christmas Day, but at £115 per head, with this quality of food, without drinks or service it was a great disappointment. On a final note, when paying the bill I checked if the deposit had been accounted for, I was told that no money had been taken due to a problem with the system. I checked my Amex statement on my phone in the restaurant and found £100 had been taken a week previously. Not good

Fabulous cocktails in the library bar. Food was quite delicious - and the setting is unbeatable.

Excellent service and some great dishes made this a great experience. The setting is very nice and we were glad that we booked early as the restaurant was understandably busy. We both had the set menu option - the cocktail (a Cinnamom Bellini) was a lovely aperitif. We both started with the Cod starter which was beautifully spiced and for mani course, I had the most perfct Beef Vindaloo - the last time I had such an excellent Vindaloo was in Goa about 30 years ago - many UK restaurants make the mistake of making them overpoweringly hot and killing all the flavour. I'm glad to say that the chef at the Cinnamon club knows how to make an authentic dish -it was superb. We both had deserts and overall, the spicing on all the dishes was interesting and flavoursome. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough - well done t all the staff for making our evening special.
