A truly unique drinking, dining and live music venue, The Church is a tastefully converted church building in the centre of town. Inside, there is a bright restaurant, a chic central bar area, while outside there is a tranquil terrace with its own bellini bar.
The Church menu is wonderfully diverse, and features everything from traditional British pub favourites through to stone-baked pizzas. Sharing platters of signature nachos and BBQ pulled pork fries are perfect for groups, moving on to hearty mains like pan-fried lamb rump and pie of the day. There are succulent hanging skewers with piri piri chicken and mixed seafood, gourmet burgers with inventive toppings, and succulent steaks too.
Sunday roasts are a popular tradition at The Church in Chester, serving up succulent roast meats, fresh seasonal veggies, rich gravy and Yorkshire puddings. Down at the elegant bar, the talented mixologists are on hand to prepare classic cocktails, recommend wine from the comprehensive list, and offer up international beers on tap.
A spectacular, atmospheric setting to enjoy versatile dining and eclectic live music, The Church is just 2 minutes' walk from the the Grosvenor Shopping Centre.

We booked the church for our girlie night catch up. We ordered the mixed grill skewers, unfortunately the chicken on our meals was raw. We informed the staff who were very helpful and offered alternatives. We all received desserts for free and there was no charge for our meals

Venue is well presented, service & food were very good but the decision to sit a couple next to a hen party wasn't the best? If we weren't half way through our meal we would have asked to move as the restaurant was pretty empty at the time.

Our favourite place to visit in Chester. We love the atmosphere, the church conversion. The red blankets to keep you warm in the winter months. The staff are amazing, even the security of an evening are funny and helpful, however the restaurant is very much hit and miss, on our last visit my meal was not restaurant quality, I had the fish and chips, on first look it looked amazing but looks are deceiving. Fish was all heavy batter not light and crispy, more batter than fish. I left all the batter to one side. I personal judge a restaurant by how they do the fish. The church is 2/10. A chippy is 5/10. All bar one restaurant locally gets 8/10 every time. We will visit the church whenever we visit Chester but not for meals.

Went for a Sunday Roast and we found the meal average. Drinks expensive. No atmosphere. Loads of tables free and they put us on a table for two, upstairs, underneath the long electric heater in the roof. We were frazzled by the time we finished our meal they promptly turned the heater off when asked.
