Gaining its name from the numerous chimneys atop its roof, The Chimneys in Hooton offers trusted British pub food, views on the spectacular Wirral Peninsula, an al fresco garden and welcoming open fires connected to the chimneys. The high ceilings also add a spacious and grand feeling to The Chimneys.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Chimneys menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Chimneys ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
The Chimneys is just 6 minutes’ drive from Ellesmere Port, or 2 minutes from Hooton Train Station.

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, great food, minimal wait. Menu is quite limited, perhaps because there was a Christmas menu available too. That said, we ordered different dishes and everyone was pleased. Best to do a limited menu well than a vast one badly.

We pre-ordered our meal as it was lunchtime and only had 1hr lunch. The meal was served 5 mins after we arrived, which was ideal. Never had a single complaint about this restaurant. Would highly recommend.
