The food was beautifully prepared and tasted wonderful. The atmosphere and the staff are very conducive to a relaxed and special occasion, even though it was just a treat for us. Covid safety was a big concern for our party and we felt it was handled well and everyone was able to enjoy it. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to spoil family, friends or hard working colleagues safely.

Five star experience from start to finish, attention to detail was excellent, beautifully presented afternoon tea, loved the library and we were seated in the window area overlooking the patio. Made to feel very special, and as it was a surprise anniversary gift made it even better. Fabulous service by all,

Booked lunch for our first trip out since Feb . Chose BH as from previous visits over many years restaurant tables are well spaced. I need not have worried capacity is reduced with tables 3m+ spacing. Masks required in all areas except bar and restaurant . Staff masked including servers . Sanitisers readily available in all areas excellent covid management. Food and service excellent.

No reply to phone call or voicemail when attempted to book. Service very slow and waiters very difficult to understand through their thick masks. Food was good. We were hoping to rebook our party which was cancelled in April but not sure now

Your total dinning experience was a breath of fresh air from beginning to end . The welcome was friendly and safe and all 3 courses we had delightful. We will be back and have asked to be put on a waiting list to dine on Christmas Day.

Lovely surroundings and polite service, small but adequate and varied menu with interesting ingredients. They just weren't quite 'on it', eg took a while to ask about drinks at the table, they left potatoes off one of the mains. Very well cooked and delightfully presented food though.
