Winner of an AA Rosette for its British gastro pub dishes, The Cadogan Arms offers heated outdoor dining and a cosy, contemporary interior. Ales from the sister microbrewery are served at the well-stocked bar.

The award-winning Cadogan menu mixes trusty British classics and refined signature main courses. Enjoy warming pork and apple pie with smooth mashed potatoes and cider gravy, or herd-crumbed halibut with fennel & potato rosti and pea veloute. Trusty British desserts include spiced pear rice pudding, or chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream.

Alongside locally-brewed beers, fine wines and freshly roasted coffee beans from nearby Butterworth & Son, The Cadogan near Bury St Edmunds offers indulgent grazing boards and artisan breakfasts.

Alongside a children’s menu served throughout the day, an adventure play area and free-roaming chickens (which can be fed with seed provided) keep younger diners occupied. The Cadogan Arms pub is an 8-minute drive from Bury St Edmunds.

My wife and I have eaten here several times before the food is very good and not overpriced. Despite it being a Saturday night the restaurant was fairly quiet so there wasn't much of an atmosphere. This was not helped by us being seated away from the main restaurant area. I think they need to review the type of music that they play, which is more appropriate for a busy bar!

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and professional. Service 10/10. The food was hot and served in good time and staff continued to be attentive throughout the meal. We had the Sunday roast which was one of the best in the area. Just wish they would change their selection of accompanying veg as they were a bit of a let down. Felt more like frozen selection than fresh.

We had a lovely evening. Service was excellent, unobtrusive and timely. Our main course of brisket and sirloin was delicious and a good sized portion. Our guests enjoyed the duck and the lamb pie. My personal aversion to garlic limited my choice but I was very happy with my meal. Your own brew added to the experience too. The second time we have visited recently and not disappointed on either occasion. Looking forward to trying another of your pub/restaurants soon.

It was the second time I had visited the Cadogan and the food was again both wholesome and delicious. On the most recent occasion (on a Sunday) I had roast free range Blythburgh leg and belly pork with FRESH IN-SEASON vegetables (in capitals as many places that pride themselves on their food serve the ubiquitous Kenyan fine beans or mange tout). For desert I had home made vanilla ice cream and my mother (it was Mother's Day) had a delicious pannacotta with lovely ripe rose coloured rhubarb (equally delicious - I tried them both!). My very elderly mother was in a wheelchair and the staff were kind and helpful in accommodating her. Only downside - the staff were a bit slow in between courses.
