A traditional Irish pub in the heart of Norwich, The Butcher Bhoy offers a variety of succulent steaks along with plenty of Guinness, live music and sport in a vibrant atmosphere. Every Friday and Saturday night guests can choose their cuts at the in-house butcher’s counter and have them grilled and served at the table.
The Butcher Bhoy menu features a prime steak burger with cheese, bacon and fries; pan seared fillet of salmon with garlic king prawns or an Irish lentil and Guinness stew with vegetarian thyme dumplings. Irish breakfasts are served every morning Friday to Sunday, and diners can enjoy delectable Sunday Roasts too.

I arrived to find the place closed. Very upset dad was on his birthday, thanks a lot. Found a lovely cafe around the corner that I will be visiting in future.

Wow !!!!! The staff were incredibly! The food was awesome!!! Brilliant atmosphere!! And the management and staff surprised us with complimentary bottle of bubbly and cake as I proposed to my man on the 29th February 2020 being a leap year xxx He said yes !!! ?? Would highly recommend this place xxx thank you Butcher Bhoy Pub xxx Fantastic value as you get lots for your money.

We went for the all you can eat ribs & wings. Wow it was amazing. The tastes were gorgeous, food hot & very tasty. The staff were so friendly & our food was regularly topped up. We couldn't ask for anything more. Will definitely be going back & recommending to others. The interior is very quirky, with photos on the ceiling & some great saying on the walls. Prices very good as well.

What an amazing place, full of atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. We ordered from the butchers block, which was a great experience Just choose your cut of steak and the butcher cuts it to your required thickness. It’s then cooked to perfection and served with your chosen sides. Will definitely be revisiting

First I would like to say that Butcher Boy has been fantastic but unfortunately this time was absolutely terrible. As soon as the main dishes came to the table, I could tell something was very different. I had the brisket which usually melts in your mouth due to the tender and very taste meat. This was a big chunk of really tough meat. My toddler loves the brisket also but it was way too tough for her to chew. The brisket was also cold. My family also complained that there meet was tough and very cold. The cabbage was almost raw, the roast potatoes which I didn't personal have, had no crunch and tasteless. I did ask the waiter what had happened to the food as it was very bad, he said chef was away on a climbing expedition. I would personally not serve food as the chef they contracted in needs to go and train at cooking school or take on the roll of an apprentice. It was the most disappointing birthday meal form sister and my partner.

My wife and I had the best steaks ever cooked absolutely perfect. That's the second time we have eaten their .the staff are so friendly and helpful . The acts they have on are brilliant. We can't recommend the butcher bhoy enough Thank you and well done .keep it up Thanks steve and donna whitear

The food is SO good, really full of flavour and cooked to perfection. 10 for value in price. We will be coming again soon. Our favourite was Temple Bar bit now you guys top it. The one thing I would complain is the ladies toilets did need a good clean all round and no toilet roll was annoying in one of the cubicles.
