We had Sunday lunch, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, we enjoyed a drink before sitting down. The meal was exceptional, most of us had the beef which was tender, a good mix of vegetables and the gravy was tasty, I loved the way we had a large slice of beef instead of thin slices, it was succulent and juicy. One person had the chicken and chiritzo stew which he said was lovely, and another had the Lamb, which she said was beautiful. The staff were attentive and helpful.
Only other comment, although our plates were hot the actual food was Luke warm, I'm afraid I like my food piping hot so I asked for it to be microwaved which they did. Great meal will definitely recommend it.

The food was good and plenty of it, but having only one vegetarian option was disappointing. Once again, NO choice at all for vegetarians. And what about vegans?
Our table for two was completely overwhelmed by eight people at the next table, two of whom were small babes in arms and crying on and off. and needing to be walked about rather a lot. So not very peaceful or relaxing. It was my husband's eight-second birthday but unfortunately we could barely hear each other. It was a small 'snug' room with no other tables for eating at. The waitress was very kind and moved us to a coffee table near the bar where we had our pudding and there we could hear ourselves talk.

Sunday lunch at the Bell is always a far more exciting experience than most quality venues. The menu always contains quirks of delight in terms of content, taste, and presentation. The last Sunday was no exception. The ladies loved the goats cheese starters, my daughter swooned over her whitebait and I love the quails eggs with black pudding. The main courses we went for - beef sirloin and the whole partridge were both succulent, tender and very tasty.
We all wanted to go for the third course when we arrived but, alas, stomachs did nopt have enough space left over after the first two courses.
As usual the ambience, courtesy and service were all impeccable.

I and friends had a fantastic meal and overall experience at the Bell. We took our dogs with us (pre-booked) and were in a superb table in the 'snug' that has original features and a big fire place. The atmosphere in the pub restaurant on Saturday evening was fantastic, a real buzz about the place that felt comfortable and a pleasure to be in. The food was excellent, and complimented by wonderful wine, beer and desert wines! And the staff who looked after our table were so much fun, whilst at the same time being really efficient and attentive. Can't get better than that - I would recommend the Bell to anyone who wants a wonderful atmosphere and quality all round. I have already booked to go again.
