In the 4-star Tower Hotel on the north bank of the River Thames, The Brasserie offers authentic European cuisine. Stunning views of Tower Bridge and Tower of London can be seen either from the al fresco terrace or the contemporary dining room.

The truly innovative Brasserie menu features unusual yet tasty combinations of flavours. Salmon is seared with a coriander-seed rub and served with a zesty lemon-scented cous cous and creative lime cream. Juicy roasted rump of lamb comes with a ricotta and lemon polenta cake, minted peas and broad beans and a flavoursome thyme jus. For dessert, an indulgent and fruity yoghurt and mascarpone cream comes with summer berries and an imaginative minted-grape compote.

The minimalist style of The Brasserie dining room gives full impact to the spectacular views seen through floor-to-ceiling windows. Cocktails are served in the cosy Xi bar, where the neutral colour palette is continued.

On the water’s edge at St Katharine Dock, the Brasserie at Tower Hotel in London is great for exploring the city’s historical landmarks. Tower Hill Tube Station is around a 10-minute walk away.

My husband & I had a Champagne Afternoon Tea at The Brasserie on Saturday 5th August 2017 as part of anniversary celebrations. It was wonderful! The restaurant is very well set out, with lovely decor & the tables were dressed beautifully. The service was second to none, with immaculately dressed staff, who were all very, polite, friendly & attentive, without being overbearing. The food was fantastic, with all the very best produce used. The sandwiches were made with a selection of beautifully soft , thick bread & the fillings were substantial. The scones were light & fluffy & the cakes were all lovely. Everything was laid out beautifully. The waitress brought us a tray of individually wrapped, top quality tea bags for us to choose which we'd like for our tea & they came in little pyramid boxes. A pot of water each gave us around three cups of tea & the waitress's refilled this & brought us further tea bags too. The Champagne was also high quality, we had Tattinger, which was lovely. Overall, we had a fantastic time & will certainly be doing this, or eating in the restaurant again.

Good location food was very good although the strong smell of fish from the main restaurant wasn't very pleasant.
Also it was raining outside and Buckets were on the floor to catch the leaks from the roof also the buckets were in the main reception.

Outside the restaurant there is a nice plaza overlooking the river and it was pleasant to look out of the window at passers by. The hotel is a little dated and the decor is neutral. The soundtrack was easy listening but inoffensive. The food was well presented and the tea came in a pyramid bag with a square dish on the table to house it. The selection was quite limited but had all the classics. The food is well presented in a Tower Bridge rack, adding a little humour or theatre to the occasion although this might detract from the lightness and delicacy of the occasion as its industrial construction and bulk took up a great deal of room on the table. Still it was exciting to start at the bottom and work our way up to the top of the bridge! The food was not as delicate or exciting as hoped. The best items were the scone (home baked) and the pineapple and coconut panacotta which was light and not too sweet (which the other deserts suffered). The sandwiches were disappointing: stale bread, bland fillings. I would have selected the vegetarian option if I knew they would almost all contain meat. Could there be more of a menu/selection rather than either veg or non veg? In any case the whole experience could be vastly improved by some home baked bread and perhaps more herbal/leaf based elements. The combination of lemon and chocolate in the macaron topped button sized pastry was too sickening. Nevertheless, it washed down well with the tea - for which the waitress provided a second cup. It was all efficiently and pleasantly served.

The service was extremely slow and we had to ask multiple times for things such as drinks and menus. The food was nice but the service left much to be desired, even though the staff were friendly. We would have spent much more time, and therefore money, in the restaurant if the service was quicker. It was also far too hot inside for it being such a lovely day outside. The windows weren't even open. Also, a waitress started clearing the table before members of our party were finished eating and continued to do so until being told 3 times to stop. Sad to say but we will not be going back. We were a party of 8.

My daughter had booked afternoon tea for 2 and as I was staying in the hotel, my sister and I decided to book for Saturday afternoon, and I was most impressed. The food was lovely and just enough. The staff were superb.

Very disappointed...the food was lovely but no extra touches to make this a special occassion....cups didn't fit in the saucers, no fancy extras, only allowed one cup of tea!!! Restaurant was very ugly no atmosphere...we complained and got a discount.

We had a sparkling cream tea celebrating a birthday. The cream tea was lovely and was served in "Tower Bridge" style tray. All of the food was exceptional, fresh, and well presented, with a good selection of sandwiches and various sweet treats were provided and to say they were yummy would be an understatement. We even asked for a few more of one of the cakes and they were provided free of charge!! The customer service we had was amazing - we were served by Madalina and she could not have been any more attentive or helpful, she was outstanding! I would totally recommend this as great treat, in a lovely hotel, with stunning views of Tower Bridge.

The service was awful. We waited about 20 minutes before our drinks came and the wine was not chilled. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive. The Caesar salad with chicken came with only half a chicken breast and some hard boiled egg! The fish in batter was terrible and the pork snitzel was dry. All in all a poor meal for an expensive price.
