For the Grosvenor hotel I thought the dining room would be a lot more upmarket no tablecloths chairs uncomfortable had A steak asked for medium rare and it came out medium to well done on arrival I mentioned I’ve booked a table For my wife’s 50th birthday didn’t seem bothered just pushed into a table for a à la cart menu fish and chips pie and mash doesn’t seem to be à la cart menu not a big selection

Not a great visit, not acknowledged when arrived or booking ref taken! Very nice waiter originally helped but he got moved! Food ok but main fish was very wet & burger not cooked properly. Only small saving grace was waiters offering a free dessert & coffee. Would not visit again.

I’m afraid we weren’t very impressed ... my friend asked for a gluten free burger and was presented with two slices of gluten free bread with the burger ! Not good enough !!! Also she wanted a starter and a main course as her two courses but was told this was not possible. I found that to be unacceptable.. the customer should br able to make their own decision when it comes to a 2 course deal !!! My food was good but ghd service was on the slow side . I wouldn’t rush to return I’m afraid . Because of the Grosvenor’s location it should have better standards and try a bit harder.

Overall very disappointing. Booked the £18.50 lunch for my mum's birthday. The Grosvenor Arms in general was freezing with no heating, the Shepperd's pie had no sauce to it so made it a very "dry pie". My mum's chocolate tart seemed to have been defrosted out of the freezer with a very soggy/chewy crust and rock hard cold tart centre. They didn't add a candle as requested on booking or make a fuss of my mum for her birthday. Disappointing all round.

The menu was wonderful, and takes inspiration from train destinations across the UK. The afternoon tea is reasonably priced, and mixes sweet and savory dishes well. Our poor server was highly confused about the state of things, messing up orders left and right, but he seemed to be a substitute, as he needed someone else to unlock the cashier system for him. This detracted somewhat from the experience, but I'd definitely visit the Grosvenor Arms again.

It was a lovely experience for my friend’s birthday. Great food and the staff were very attentive . We particularly liked the coronation chicken and the fruit scones

Pleasant starters but the steaks we ordered were excellent. Cooked exactly to our different and individual requirements.

We had to wait a long time for our food and even our drinks. There wasn’t enough bread with our ‘Sharing platter’ so we had to order more. Also, the garnish of leaves was pitiful, wilted and pathetic. I actually had to get up and go over to the till to pay as we couldn’t catch anybody’s eye. Very disappointed.’Tis a pity as I come up to Victoria twice a month to meet my children for dinner. Had it gone better we’d have made it a regular thing. We went down the road for cocktails and coffee afterwards.
