Excellent service and food, our waiter was particularly helpful (I think his name was something like Benito)
The music was nice but a little on the loud side which made conversation difficult at times.

I booked Sunday Lunch for two people. The food itself was very nice, although I was unaware that the Roast was a carvery/buffet station, assuming it would be table service being a hotel. I had the Goats Cheese Bruschetta to start, tasty but the goat's cheese was a little strong for my personal taste. The roast beef was delicious and very tender, the portion was generous and there were a good selection of potato options and vegetables (broccoli, carrots, roast parsnips and red cabbage). Yorkshire puddings were cold, unfortunately. What let it down was the fact that we had £50 dining credit to use and trying to apply this to our bill was a nightmare. We told the waiter before we were seated and he had no idea and said he would check with reception. When we asked for the bill we mentioned it again (a different waiter) and he was similarly clueless, after a bit of back and forth we were able to get it sorted but it did put a slight dampner on the weekend for me, as I had booked the package (the credit was part of a hotel stay) as a surprise for my partner and I felt awkward having to continually query the credit and explain the package to staff - especially when I was told, at the time of booking, all the staff are very aware of this package and using it for Sunday lunch will not be a problem.

Really lovely location with a lovely atmosphere and great river views. So much food! We couldn't finish it all. I'd have preferred fewer scones (definitely the chocolate ones!) and more sandwiches to balance out the sweet and savoury. The only thing was the waiter wasn't very attentive. It took ages to have our order taken then we didn't see him when we needed the bill so had to find another waiter. They were a bit too few and far between. Still would highly recommend the place.

The hotel was lovely as was the food - but unfortunately the customer service was not. The waiter who served us was rude and blunt.

    Great food and service.
Went with two friends and two of us had the monkfish and the other the rib-eye.
    Couldn’t fault any of it.
