With beautiful views of the River Great Ouse & a large outdoor terrace, The Brampton Mill is a restored gastro pub offering a variety of hearty modern British dishes. With stone walls, fur-lined chairs & several fireplaces, the indoor bar & restaurant are a cosy setting to enjoy a traditional Sunday roast.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Brampton Mill menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Brampton bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The Brampton Mill is a 3-minute drive from Huntingdon Rail Station.

We were very pleased with the food, the atmosphere, the staff who found us a table after a booking mix-up. - my fault.

Food was fresh and hot when served
All party enjoyed their choices
One member of group didn’t get her fries with her meal until she asked for them
Another member of party asked about the chunk chips and she wasn’t offered the skinny fries which came with another main course
Our table was on the second floor which was very noisy as there were several very large groups, the rest of restaurant was empty, it would have been nice to have had choice of a quieter area to eat in
One member of party never got her mint tea which was ordered

A winter dinner spot - cosy and a great menu for all tastes

A wide range of dishes on the menu to suit all tastes and sizes of appetite. Food presented was as advertised and was very nice. The service provided by our waitress was excellent and was able to express a family members request to swop the table allocated to the lower floor as this did not require her to climb the stairs. Only negative was the poor state of both the Gents and Ladies toilets which was raised with the Waitress.

Service was exceptionally slow and it wasn't very busy. Food was a bit poor quality compared to previous visits.

Beautiful old mill in a lovely location let down by poor service. We booked our table of eleven for a family birthday celebration early at 6.15pm as we had an eight-year-old in our party who had school the following day. By 9.30pm we were still sat there and waiting for dessert menus to arrive (I had requested a birthday dessert for my daughter) at which point three of our party had to leave so fed up, we ended up leaving too and not ordering dessert or coffee. The food was good but the waitress was simply not attentive. She took ages to bring our menus, take our drinks orders, clear our plates etc. This was on a Tuesday evening so I can't imagine what it must be like at weekends. Service was particularly friendly and the waitress seemed disengaged, at one point chatting in the corner to another waitress as we were trying to pay our bill. It was expensive considering we didn't have dessert and a drive for us too so we won't be going back any time soon.

The main course was good and served very quickly however no warning about a very hot skillet handle used for the dessert resulting in my companion burning their hand. The oil/balsamic vinegar was served in a small jug so was difficult to get both onto the plate (just oil came out) and he bread was toasted so didn't soak up the oil/vinegar very well. We went to the bar afterwards and were approached about an hour and a half later to pay for the meal again (we had paid already).
