It was a quiet celebration of my adult son's birthday.
The food and the service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I would go again.

The Brackenbury is led by the former General Manager of the iconic River Café. With equally prestigious backgrounds, the kitchen team create a menu of French and Italian dishes using fine British produce.

The Brackenbury menu is led by bold Mediterranean flavours. Try risotto with braised pheasant, marsala and dried porcini, linguini with spiced mussel and tomato ragu, or roast partridge with braised savoy cabbage and celeriac purée. Desserts are just as rich, with the likes of Yorkshire ginger pudding with butterscotch sauce, and the ominously titled chocolate nemesis on offer.

Laid-back yet chic, comfy banquettes and simple décor give The Brackenbury Hammersmith a warm and welcoming feel. Outdoor seating offers al fresco dining on warmer days, with Meditteranean-style street-side dining.

A neighbourhood favourite, The Brackenbury London sits in a quiet pocket of West London. Hammersmith, Ravenscourt Park, and Goldhawk Road tube stations are all within a 10-minute walk.

It was so great. Sunny lunch on the pavement. Lovely waiters, lots of ice, delicious lunch we asked if we could have a loyalty card.

A very good set lunch for £18
The cold soup and mackerel were excellent and nicely presented
The steak was fine though a little overdone
Service was friendly and swift and al fresco eating at its best

I love the Brackenbury restaurant, it's location (hidden away in a residential street with wonderful trees), the atmosphere (charming art pieces on the wall, seperated seating areas, characterful interior), the staff (friendly and competent, happy to go the extra mile for their customers) and, of course, the food (the soufflé is to die for...) and drinks (excellent wine list). A perfect neighbourhood restaurant with the special twist!

This restaurant is a gem! Nestled in the village area of Brackenbury we were greeted by friendly staff and offered outside or inside dining. Both were beautiful. Our first visit, but certainly not our last. Excellent service from the word go and throughout.
Every dish for each person was a winner and with four people to please thats amazing. Sampling sublime velvety veal pasta and perfectly cooked tasty asparagus plus croquet anchois
that was so flavoursome the only conversation was wow and mumm. Next four fantastic mains perfect and full of flavour the steak made you sit back in your chair to fully take it in.
The roast guinea fowl with broad beans was tender tasty
and well balanced. Roasted lamb rump came up trumps with flavour and preparation.
Steam stoned bass finished our choices being superbly flavoured and just fell off the fork. Sides were wonderful especially the pomme frittes.
It's so good to have portion sizes that are satisfying but leave room for desert and you wouldn't have wanted to miss out on the poached apricots. They got shared and each thought them a triumph. Unbelievably but distinctly flavoured a real hit.
As for the raspberry and almond tart can't supply enough superlatives !
An absolute delight with a great team great setting and great chef.
I found this entry in the latest Good Food Guide. So glad I did.
