Labelled ‘A serious foodie contender’ in The Midlands area by The Good Food Guide, 2 AA Rosette-awarded The Bluebell offers simple European cuisine with an indulgent twist. A beautiful courtyard lends itself to al fresco dining, while the lavish Bluebell afternoon tea has become something of a trademark.
Garnering Michelin praise, The Bluebell menu showcases the work of expert chefs, and includes duck with pickled summer vegetables and halibut with almonds, smoked bacon and watercress sauce. Classics like fish and chips and ribeye steak with hand-cut chips are also on offer, while a white chocolate cheesecake with passionfruit and orange sorbet heads the desserts.
Take afternoon tea in the charming country-farmhouse dining room, where finely-trimmed finger sandwiches, homemade fruit scones, clotted cream and fresh jams dominate the delicacies. A selection of loose leaf teas and steaming hot coffees are paired with chocolate brownies, cinnamon Victoria sponge with orange buttercream, and passionfruit pavlova.
Swathed in black and white timber, The Bluebell in Warwickshire is a 7-minute walk from Henley-In-Arden Rail Station.

They couldn't do enough for us. The food was superb and the presentation was beautiful. The overall atmosphere was friendly and put us at ease completely. The drink selection is wide and the Guinness was super cold - tasted great! The decoration is beautiful and adds to the overall dining experience. Thank you!!

My previous experience of the Bluebell has always been good but I was very disappointed this time. The service was extremely slow, the potatoes were inedible due to being undercooked and had to be replaced. Generally, the evidence seemed to show that the kitchen was badly run.

We had a family Sunday lunch for a birthday. The service was initially attentive, but got worse as the meal progressed and as the restaurant became more full. However, subject to the following comments, the food was excellent and well cooked, and the presentation was elegant. The menu was varied and a bit different for Sunday lunch.
The chicken liver parfait starter came with one piece of toast, which was sadly insufficient for the large portion. More toast was provided after a delay and chasing the waitress. Our biggest complaint was all of the main courses were lukewarm, as were the separate vegetables. No serving spoons were provided. No extra gravy was offered for the roast meals, and no sauces, such as horseradish or mustard, were offered. Our previous experiences of evening dinner have been much better.

Lovely setting and attentive, friendly service. Everything wasreshly prepared so they were able to accommodate special dietary needs. The fish and chips was great.

Food was very nice but the restaurant was freezing! My husband sat with his coat on. Also we had booked an early diner offer with house gin and tonic each but we were charged for these on our bill! Not what I expected. Don't think we will be rushing back.

On arrival for lunch I noticed the heating was not on. The lunch menu did not include any salads or baguettes etc. We were going to pay for the drinks and find another restaurant but they offered to make us a salad. It was a thoughtful offer but at £15 each for leaves and a small amount of salmon we won’t be returning. Whilst we were there 2 other groups left as the menu was not suitable, the location is good, the decor is fine but the menu needs to be radically overhauled and heating should be on at the end of a November.

Great cosy atmosphere with log fire burning in the corner. Well presented, tasty food with interesting combinations. Service was good and waitress could answer our queries about dishes.
Main portions are not large so you may need sides to share if you like a full plate. Only downside was venison main was warm at best and rice pudding was tepid. Also bread has to be ordered, something I've noticed is becoming a money saving trend in restaurants... sadly for us customers.
