Great food and prompt service. Lovely to eat outside in the back garden. (Also, the staff are taking all the right precautions re:covid.). Currently my favourite pub for a lunch in the area.

We used to frequent before it closed and all was fine. However, we found it to be a waste of money this time. The starters were ok but my wife’s main was a disgrace and mine not much better. Her's was a cold slab of salmon in a bun purporting to be a burger. We will not return.

Good atmosphere; good service. Good menu but I wonder if some of the items were not really made by the chef but bought from some wholesalers.

Very nice service and nice pub environment. But the fishcakes were just on the turn and inedibly salty (the pub was happy to refund) and the fattoush salad was mostly composed of onions, the chips with the fish were rock hard. Perhaps we were unlucky. However, taking a 90 year old to the pub was not a good idea given that the toilet seat in the ladies doesn't fit properly; the hot water in the men's loos doesn't run. So, hope that all this could be kept an eye on because it's a nice pub with pleasant staff.

Great service and food - thank you! Gave the ambience 4 stars because of a very loud group nearby who we couldn’t hear ourselves above!!
