Excellent food and service. Very friendly but at the same time professional. Interesting menu, a little on the dear side but would definitely come again.

Very disappoinoting meal experince for all 8 guests. Poor, oily fried fish, served with teaspoon of mushy peas and 10 chips ! Sausage and mash average, again potatoes must be in short supply in Thorner as there was less than a dessertspoon full. Seabass was said to be OK but accompaniments very poor. Only meal that got an "it's OK -just" were the moules. With drinks the bill came to around £45 per couple. Definitely overpriced for quality and quantity of food. Think it's a case of back to the drawing board on this. Can't be doing chef patron Matt Healey's reputation any good. We certainly won't be going back anytime soon.

Very disappointing, service was very slow and 5 meals did all arrive together as they should, coffees were " luke "!warm and 2 had to be sent back! have heard bad reviews from other friends but we were prepared to try , sorry but not sure we will return.

Food good but many items not available. Staff friendly but Inexperienced and need more training. Sadly no local Yorkshire fraught beers. Ambience excellent.

Average service, good food. Menu on the expensive side, plus all sides had to be ordered extra. More variety of sides needed - 3 different types of chip but no other potatoes, limited veg options too. Service slow and they kept forgetting things. ‘Optional’ service automatically added to the bill.

Sunday Lunch Ambience was lovely. Know you havent been opened long but a fantastic experience. Some service staff a little nervous, that will come in time but still very professional, discreet ,efficient and very personable., subtle and unassuming. Outside was constantly being cleared of leaves etc but as a smoker no ashtrays, hence a lot of cig butts over the shale( not all mine I hasten to add) Loved the starters ,we had three and shared between four of us. The concept of a platter of food was brilliant, Roast beef. pink and thick was delicious, chicken also amazing but didnt need the Legs ( always been a thigh person myself!!) Veg was perfect (my youngest daughter is now an advocate of Parsnips,(Thank you!) as was the Yorkies, gravy ,Roast potatoes were incredible.. Pudds were delicious too with the esprreso coffee Overeall will be back again ps the Amarone Valpollicella totally hit the spot Good luck to you, and your team ,you all totally deserve the accolades that you will receive in due course. Kind regards Jeremy Bradshaw

I wanted this to be a great experience as taking my mum and step dad out. Was so disappointed. Firstly the glasses were dirty, all of them. Then our food was cold and Yorkshire puddings burnt. When we sent it back, it didn't come back much warmer, apart from the potatoes were piping hot. I didn't really like the idea of a mixed roast for three on plate to share (vegetables were on a side). The staff were lovely, but everything was totally chaotic. When the bill came they had added three extra things that we didn't have (I think that may have been the next tables). I don't like complaining but we were expecting good things and we didn't get any. The food itself tasted ok, but when you are paying 19.99 for Sunday Roast you expect something really good.
