Once used as an advanced listening post during World War 2, The Beachy Head Hotel serves a plethora of British cuisine from a diverse and innovative menu. Boasting unspoiled views over Eastbourne beach, The Beachy Head pub in East Sussex enjoys its own wine cellar and outdoor dining area.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Beachy Head Hotel menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Beachy Head Hotel ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

As well as unrivalled views of the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs, The Beachy Head Hotel in Eastbourne is just a 5-minute walk from South Downs National Park.

Despite a very full and busy restaurant the service was good and friendly. The fod, as always was excellent and plentiful - in fact the Sunday lunch platter proved too much for one of our party.

country rough saw wood style was very cosy and charming with tartan soft furnishings. Blackboards added to the easy casual atmosphere to choose options.
Favourite dish was the mushroom cheese starter, it was hot and tasty. Rest of meal a big let down being a long wait and hardly warm when served over cooked.

The service was very good - Jan was friendly and efficient. We did wait quite a while between courses, but it wasn't a problem for us. The food was excellent, hot and tasty. Puddings were also very good.

A good atmosphere, with friendly and efficient service. The location is excellent and views from some of the dining areas can be spectacular.

Had table booked at 2. Arrived 13.30, table not ready not a problem so have a drink in the meantime. Come 2pm we're told our booked table was still a 20 min wait. They put us on a self service table where you have to go up to the till to order. I queued for 20 mins just to order our food and was then told that it will be a 45 min wait for food. At no point since our arrival did they tell us this. About an hour passed and still hadn't had our mains. Demanded a refund and left. Abismal service literally not a good thing to say about the place other than the views. Staff are completely incompetent.

Quality and quantity of food was excellent. Service was a little slow. The hi-tech ordering system used by our waiter seemed to cause him a little problem. An orderror for one and a half pints of beer resulted in two pints, and both my gues ft so o r roaring the same me desert obviously confused someone because only one arrived with a lengthy delay before the second came. The place was not particularly busy at that timeven. Overall, though, it was an enjoyable experience.

The place was packed on arrival with huge queues at the bar, preventing us from getting beyond the front door. I managed to squeeze through the throng, but waited 10 minutes to finally get the attention of staff and be seated at our table. Once we ordered, we were told there was a 45 minute delay for food! This turned out to be an hour in fact. However, the waitress was polite and apologised for the delays and the food when it did finally arrive, was tasty, hot, and generous portions. I would recommend based on food quality, but suggest avoiding Sunday lunchtimes, as staff seemed unable to cope with demand.

The hotel is in a fantastic location with panoramic views across the downs towards the sea. We booked for Sunday lunch, the restaurant was quite busy and we waited more than half an hour for our food. The meal was good and was reasonably priced. Overall I would recommend the restaurant, particularly for the view, but would avoid busy times.

Easy to book, got taken to table on time and service was great. Did have to wait a while during courses, but that was fine as it gave us time to digest between courses.
