The Bath Priory Hotel offers an exemplary British fine dining experience.

While enjoying views over the award-winning hotel gardens, guests can enjoy supreme culinary innovation, with much produce sourced from the Priory’s very own kitchen garden. With ingredients traceable down to the vary last salad leaf, dishes on The Bath Priory menu include butter poached Brixham turbot with smoked bacon velouté, or Priory farm rhubarb soufflé with rhubarb and ginger sorbet.

With a commitment to sourcing wine from bespoke or rare producers, The Bath Priory cellar showcases a regularly changing, cherry-picked selection. The resident sommelier is always on hand to offer inspired recommendations.

In a leafy suburb of the city, The Priory in Bath is just a 6-minute drive from the historic centre. Please note, a smart casual dress code is observed for evening dining. In the evenings, children over the age of 12 are more than welcome to dine in the restaurant from the a la carte menu. Children over the age of 5 are very welcome in the restaurant for lunch.

Special lunch menu for £36 including three courses and a glass of champagne. Some months since we were here (three friends meet up fairly regularly for lunch) and there's a new chef since we were here last year. The food was wonderful. Very different from the last chef or two we've experienced here. Notably, the size of the servings. We've never understood why Michelin starred restaurants must serve such small portions, but this is how it was. No more! Service, as always, was impeccable, friendly with good communication and helpful comments and information. The wine list is slightly more expensive than before, but the quality of wine is as always. It was a lovely day in February and we even got to walk around the lovely garden. We love this place and will probably be back more often now. Great.

Wonderful service. Really exquisite. We were very impressed. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the amuse bouche and the starters. We had Jerusalem artichoke veloute and bream cervichè. I would say the decor is looking quite tiered and in need of updating.

The dining experience was very good with the exception of the coffee. Firstly the coffee had been over cooked and tasted bitter. The coffee needs to be made more frequently. Secondly we were told that petit four would be with the coffee. They did not turn up despite a reminder from ourselves. That was disappointing.

First visit to the Bath Priory for dinner on a busy Saturday evening but the experience was very memorable.

A traditional country house hotel feel to our evening starts with a welcome cocktail in the lounge, a splendid room with an eclectic collection of oils on the wall and and roaring log fire. We deliberately chose a number of dishes on the menu to test the kitchen and Michael Nizzero and his team did not let us down. Delicate canapes with drinks were followed by elegant starters - in particular a massively flavoured consomme with truffle shavings and a spectacular crab dish combining an exciting combination of vegetables with the soft sweet flesh of the Cornish crab. Both the venison and the beef were cooked to perfection for our main courses - great robust sauces too and we finished our meal with the most exquisite souffle, once again cooked perfectly.

In addition to being fans of the food the front of house was also in top form: all members of the team were friendly and helpful but not too "in your face". Courses arrived effortlessly and plates were cleared without us realising - so professional. It was a busy evening but we never felt that the quality of service dropped as a result. The team performed really so well!

Overall, we had a lovely evening and would thoroughly recommend!

The Priory is our special occasion lunching place. Again, we were not disappointed. Menu varied and delicious, staff competent, knowledgeable and charming. The whole team made it very enjoyable. My only comment is that the capaletti were offered without accompanying vegetables. When I asked I was given a vegetable accompaniment, but I am surprised, because surely many people who don't want too much meat do want veg.

Excellent attentive but not intrusive waiting staff. Lovely food, especially enjoyed the chestnut veloute and my husband loved his venison. We have eaten here many times and look forward to doing so again. Lunch menu very good value .
