Booked a table for a special birthday meal for close family and could not have chosen a better place. On arrival we walked up the stairs to the sound of beautiful piano music, and the most delicious smell of food. We had arrived early as it was a warm and sunny evening and knew we could sit out on the patio area and sip a cocktail before being escorted to our table.

The food was sublime, the service top notch and atmosphere was wonderful and the whole experience made it a memorable event for my husband.. The pianist noticed it was his birthday and played Happy Birthday and really made him feel extra special.

Highly recommended, I cannot wait to return!

Our first visit, but certainly not our last. First class service and food from start to finish.

Wonderful surroundings, amazing food, brilliant staff. We had an incredible time! The staff were so friendly and attentive, especially the lady who saw to us (I didn't get her name...she had a European accent. She was so lovely!). My duck dish was perfect, as was everything. Our only bug bear was that my partner had the stone bass which had several bones in, which he had to pick out of his mouth- not too pleasant, and a shame because it was delicious!
Overall though we had the best time and will be coming back! Thank you

    An excellent occasion.
It's a light and airy restaurant with a rustic feel betokened by the bare brickwork of the walls. Very modern and rather chic. There's nothing rustic about either the food or the service. I dined with Mark Birch all in the main house before and there is evidence of his very high standard of cooking in the food offered in The Barn.
