A warm, convivial space, the restaurant offers hearty grill and vegetarian recipes, along with a full bar menu of craft beers, international wines and cocktails.

The Barn at Moor Hall menu is packed with British and European flavours, crafted using carefully sourced produce from around the country. Start off with the charcuterie sharing board, or indulge in gourmet treats like steak tartare with onion and piquillo pepper. Sample game specialities such as roast loin of venison, or tuck into one of the premium aged steaks with a choice of sides.

    This was the best cooking I have had in a restaurant for a considerable time. The highlight for me was the way the cauliflower was served in three ways. This was not just a glib menu gimmick as it can be ( in fact the menu did not use the phrase) it served the ingredient and was utterly delicious This was careful accurate cooking of a high order. The staff were efficient and friendly. The chef even took time to explain how he had made the intensely flavoured broccoli soup. The lunchtime fixed price menu was excellent value. It was a very enjoyable experience.We will definitely return..

    Really good meal. Really enjoyed the hake and terrible but wish I’d chosen the rhubarb dessert - treacle tart was a bit under par! Also prefer it if they’d include bread and some carb content to make mains and staters complete and add a little extra to the price rather than having to order extra. That always feels like a bit of a con. But very happy that they pointed out that service charge was already included in the bill. Overall excellent. Will go again!

    Entering the restaurant and passing the various dried meats and aged cheeses. You already know its going to be good.

    The space is fantastic, high ceilings, original exposed bricks and baby grand piano.

    The menu was reflective of what you would see in Moor Hall itself, possible more fit for the masses than the tailored tasting menu prepared across the courtyard.

    A "modern" take on traditionally British dishes or rather traditional British ingredients, prepared in a modern way.

    The food itself was fantastic, as always, the highlight for me would be the scallops and salt cod brandade.

    Service was impeccable, barring the insistent cries for service from the bar manager, unnecessary when you're only serving a cocktail and a beer.

    Lovely food and we come from an area of gastro pubs and Michelin starred restaurants in south Oxfordshire. OH had venison, me the lamb. Delicious. We had a plate of anti pasti to share to start, but no bread for the table, which we take as normal these days. This was a separate billable item. This would make the difference for us between 4 or 5 stars.
    My Prosecco was a little flat but OH had a delicious elderflower Mojito and the Malbec was very good.

    Lunch at the Barn was exceptional. Food magnificent in quality and presentation. Staff very helpful, friendly and professional. Service was extra special and faultless. All set in beautiful surroundings.

    We came with friends who had both stayed and dined in the restaurant. We all enjoyed the food ,which was well presented and delicious. We did feel that although the service was very good,it felt a little rushed. We did request a rest before the pudding.
    Loved the decor and grounds immaculate. Will come again , and try the restaurant. Cocktails although delicious looked a bit ordinary
    no garnish whatsoever.

    Loved the whole experience. Each plate was served with pride and so they should, each and every dish was a delight that challenged your tastebuds to work out the flavours.
    The cask ale and wines went well with our choice of food.
    We were sat near the open kitchen, where we could hear the distant music from the pianist.
    A great night.
