Absolutely fabulous in every way. Venison & hake main courses were top drawer cooking with accompanying components that totally enhanced the dishes. The chef even added artichoke to the venison dish at my husbands's request. Custard tart with rum & raisin ice cream was simply divine & matched with really good service, it was a dining experience to savour. Moor hall & the grounds are stunning.

Excellent meal in very agreeable surroundings. Service was very professional - it appeared that serving staff in particular were under unreasonable pressure; the addition of another service person would have helped

We thought we'd try dining at the Barn after previously experiencing the main restaurant a la carte tasting menu which was fantastic. The Barn itself looks ever so inviting and provided a great ambience for that slightly less formal dining experience, whilst retaining the highest level of service. The staff were extremely polite and professional and the whole place exudes quality and attention to detail, so you just know the food is going to be wonderful before you even see the menu. So, to the food...our starters where simply delicious, the 40 day aged fillet steak was fantastic, the side orders were beautifully presented and complemented the steak perfectly, the chips were light, fluffy and crisp and the sauces were delicious. My only two slight criticisms being...the desert menu is very limited and looked a tad boring so we did not order, which was a shame as we'd have loved to have prolonged our evening further. We also fancied a nice espresso coffee to finish off but surprisingly the restaurant doesn't provide fresh coffee beans, instead opting for a pod system, which although okay the quality of coffee is nowhere near as good as what could be served using a proper espresso machine, so again we did not order. All in all though the food we did have was simply lovely and we enjoyed a very pleasant evening.

Amazing food, cocktails and service. The chicken main with black trumpette mushrooms was absolutely delicious.
My husband had the venison main and again this was cooked to perfection.
1st class unobtrusive service by Phil and his team.
    The cocktails are very good,
we have been several times since it has opened and never been other than very impressed by the place. It is my favourite place to go for a meal.
