The bank tavern serves the best Sunday lunch anywhere in Bristol. The food is exceptional and is more like a restaurant than a pub. I have already recommended it to friends.

Dating back to the 1800s, The Bank Tavern is a bustling Bristol pub with a cosy feel. The interior features classic mahogany wood panels and furnishings, there is outdoor seating, and a regular roster of live music that adds to the ambience.

A comforting range of pub classics are served on the Bank Tavern menu, along with a selection of international additions. Honey roast ham is served with bubble and squeak and a hen's egg, while the burger selection features beef patties topped with cheddar, onion and bacon jam and house burger sauce, and a buttermilk-fried chicken thigh with garlic and parmesan mayo. There are rustic sandwiches for lunch, classic ploughman's, and generous roasts on Sundays.

Traditional cask ales and British ciders are on tap at The Bank Tavern in Bristol, which get rotated regularly. There is also a select wine list, and range of international spirits.

A proper British pub with a rich history and a classic feel, The Bank Tavern is moments from local theatres, and just 8 minutes' walk from the shopping attractions of Broadmead.

Limited but wonderful Sunday menu; very accommodating and attentive staff; good bar selections; seated us right on time; kind of out of the way but worth the visit (we'll be back).
