Swathed in a rich history, The Balloch House showcases a traditional British menu with a contemporary stamp. Given its attractive, white-picket exterior, The Balloch House beer garden is ideal for dining al fresco, and offers unspoiled views across the rural Dunbartonshire backdrop.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Balloch House menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Balloch House ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
Balloch Rail Station is a 3-minute walk from The Balloch House in Alexandria, whilst the stunning Loch Lomond sits right on the pub’s doorstep.

Being local I have eaten at Balloch House many times, while the restaurant was very busy it being a Saturday night, both the food and the service were excellent.

The food was really good, it is a nice traditional feel pub. Sadly items from the menu were not available and the person serving did not tell us about many of them until after we had chosen. It looked like they had had a busy day and were a bit tired.

Shown to table as soon as we entered resturant. Lovely homely feel on entering made to feel welcome. Started with Patte which was excellent then Chicken Rendang which was delicious, could not have sweet as too full. Wil be back.

The restaurant was very nice, old style but welcoming. The food was generally good but one dish was disappointing (overcooked fish & chips). Waitress wasn't very welcoming or friendly, and kind of snapped abruptly that one requested desert was off the menu.......then delivered it anyway as she was wrong in her assumption.
