We were welcomed as a family party with small children. The menu was great - a children's menu and adults, with a great choice. The cooking was really good. We recommend the pie of the day - one of the best we have come across. The staff were really welcoming and understanding. In the summer there is a good sized garden.

We have been previously a few months back at lunch time and were the only ones in dining area-it look along time for the food but when it arrived it was delicious and worth the wait. However tried bakers arms again for my mums 70th bday as we had really enjoyed the food previously. Apparently there is a new chef who is getting used to the menu, the food took forever to arrive on this occasion. We had a table booked for 6 and it took nearly an hour for our starters to come out and then further delays with our mains too. Other customers who had not ordered starters received their orders before us and we overheard them also complaining to the staff about the delays with getting their food. Unfortunately the food wasn’t as good as previous visits (burger was very dry) and mums gammon was very salty. My mums meal also came out 20 mins later after the rest of us had our meals which is not ideal and considering it was her 70th birthday was a bit disappointed to be honest. We will try again maybe as hopefully this was a one off.

The service was excellent, the person who looked after us could not have done more. The starters were very good. The Mains were average - a tempting menu but overcooked and dry in some cases. The desserts were good. All in all an enjoyable visit.

Had the Roast Dinner here and I can say it is one of the best Roast’s I have had out for a while. Fantastic value for money and the restaurant itself is a lovely setting. Plus the staff were amazing. Would come back 100%.

The food is always great but what makes the evening is the service you get from Lauren outstanding, bubbly and nothing is too much trouble for her

Lovely friendly staff, excellent service. A village pub with a good atmosphere. The food was excellent, the Tagine (vegetarian) was beautifully spiced and flavoursome and the Pork belly was so tender. Everyone loved the selection of puddings and I especially liked the gin menu. A wonderful place to celebrate a special birthday.
