Sitting pretty atop the cliffs of Guernsey, The Auberge is a fine-dining bar and restaurant offering stunning views of the sea. Recipient of 2 AA Rosettes, modern British restaurants The Auberge is one of the Channel Islands' finest dining establishments.

Thanks to its enviable clifftop location, fish and seafood dishes are championed at The Auberge in Guernsey. Locally hand-dived scallops feature marinated, pan-fried and tempura-battered in various different recipes on The Auberge menu, whilst local turbot is roasted with a continental chorizo and mussel cassoulet.

Not to be outdone, meat offerings range from local ‘porky’s pig’, with roasted pork fillet, ham hock and twice-cooked belly, to a succulent selection of steaks, served with hand-cut chips and mushroom and tomato fondue. Cherry-picked French and New World wines can be enjoyed al fresco overlooking the sea, or inside the elegant Auberge restaurant, which offers a panoramic sea vista from floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Auberge can be found on Jerbourg Road, a minute’s drive from Le Vallon.

Excellent evening. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was very good and beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

The food was excellent, the location is wonderful. My only criticism would be to let customers have some time between courses rather than them having to ask for it. I don’t want to spend c£50 a head to be in and out in one hour.

The food & service was exceptional. We took a friend who was over from the UK on holiday & also our 3 granddaughters aged 6,9 & 12. Everyone cleared their plates because the food was so good. Our friend eats out a lot when on holiday & said her lunch was the best she has experienced this year & our eldest granddaughter could hardly finish her steak as it was so big. (She did eventually manage it). Having spent a few weeks in France it was good to have a vegetarian dish on the set menu which I thoroughly enjoyed. We have found vegetarian dishes somewhat lacking in French restaurants.

Rather disappointing after last visit! My steak was very tough and even though the coffees were taken off the bill the fact that you pay a£3.50 supplement made me feel a bit let down! My husband had Pollock which was very small ( not an expensive fish!) I also missed the maitre d from last time (Craig) whose cheerful presence made us all feel very valued!
