My wife and I had the carvary and were very pleased with it. The food selection was good and cooked perfectly.

Sitting in the spectacular grounds of Woodbury Castle, The Atrium creates predominantly British food with grill classics from the Bertha charcoal oven heading up the menu. Local produce is key, with regional ingredients in almost every dish, and meats sourced from the finest purveyors in the region. More than 50% of the food sourced within a 50 mile radius.

Despite the British theme, The Atrium at Woodbury Park menu is eclectic, and head chef Ed Nagy brings his own signature stamp. Dishes are homely, but are served with nouvelle cuisine flair, and include lobster sushi with pink ginger and pickled lemon salad, and roast rump of lamb with pea and smoked sausage stew. Desserts include rhubarb crumble cheesecake, mango crème brulee and a cheeseboard of some of the region’s finest cheeses.

A relaxed bar menu including burgers, steaks and pizzas is available at The Atrium as well as a popular Sunday carvery. The restaurant also boasts an impressive wine list including English wines from Devon and Cornwall.

Nestled in the stunning landscapes of Woodbury Park, The Atrium at Woodbury Park Hotel is a 13-minute drive from Exton Train Station.

It was very nice although we thought the restaurant was a little strange in that it was neither upmarket fine dining or more casual bistro dining. The menu tried to fit all and I think it would be disappointing for someone wanting fine dining. Eg choice of a ploughman’s alongside a formal dinner menu.

Very disappointed that a true carvery is no longer offered on a Sunday - the main reason for going. Food portions were very generous and the service good. Wine expensive but otherwise reasonable value for money. Pleasant surroundings with helpful and cheerful staff and a good sitting out area.

The Vegetarian option on the menu was a nut roast. My wife ordered this, when it came out is was a mixture of carrots and parsnips from the carvery shaped in a circle with a few pine nuts thrown in. Hardly a nut roast! However the rest of the food was good.

I was unfortunately very disappointed with my visit. I had been for a Sunday carvery a couple of years ago and wanted to come back ever since then. This time however, it was a totally different experience. The meat for myself (lamb) was mostly fat. I was informed by my friends that the beef was very dry and the nut roast was a pile of pine nuts. The vegetables were plain and dried out, the gravy thin and the choice limited. To top it off, the waitress was rude and petulant. Not a pleasant experience at all!

A little too warm for comfort!
The staff were exceptional in taking care of us and we were reassured by the way in which they directed the evacuation.
As always, the food and service was great up to the point of our evacuation. Cannot comment on the sweet of coffee which is probably "down the chute"!.

    Booking worked very well.
Good food, well cooked, hot plates, everything clean and plentiful during breakfast, brilliant basics, well presented and tasted good quality home cooked food for lunch. Relaxed setting but still felt quite special. Solid experience. Very nice.

Warm welcome on arrival. Starter was delicious, carvery was great. I especially liked the gluten free gravy, not usually available in most restaurants. Food presentation was excellent. Waiting staff were polite and smartly dressed. The only downside of the meal was our drinks weren't brought to the table when requested. The duty manager forgot but after i enquired about it they were brought to the table. Unfortunately, the water wasn't the type requested but was unwanted by then .
Apart from this minor hiccup,we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will return.
