Ambiance is excellent with the log fires providing a homely feel. We dined early so there were a lot of staff available and the service was very good. The waitresses were very friendly and engaged in conversation. The food was excellent and again nothing was too much trouble for our picky needs.

Beautiful meal, unusual options which were really tasty. Lovely setting and excellent service

Good food, good service, slightly over-priced since the menu was good but not exciting. Inn at Whitewell have a more interesting menu for a slightly lower price.

Delightful location and restaurant setting. No clear entrance door signage. (it was April so external doors obviously not left open!) Staff were attentive. Bar nibbles of whitebait was excellent. Granary bread for sandwich was dry, which was mentioned to waitress, filling was fine. Was told comment would be passed on to kitchen. No offer of e.g. free tea/coffee to compensate was made. Scoop of ice cream for dessert was delicious but definitely on the small side. Soya milk was not available, which was a disappointment. Toilets are located some distance from the restaurant.

Had lunch here yesterday with family. The food was excellent and the service efficient and friendly.
We had lunch in the room at the back overlooking the river and we loved it. We had lunch on Easter Sunday in a well known restaurant and the food at the Aspinall was considerably better, and the service better.

6 of us booked for Sunday lunch and I would say the meal was excellent. Very polite and efficient service and everyone enjoyed their food. The mixed roast looked fabulous and I really enjoyed the feta and quinoa salad...delicious. The atmosphere was excellent and most tables were occupied. I definitely recommend the Aspinall Arms.

We booked a table via your website for 3 people on the Saturday evening before Mother's Day but then rang the Aspinall Arms direct to change it to 4 people. They didn't have our booking but were able to fit us in.
We have dined 3 or 4 times before and the food was again excellent.
Not sure about your booking process however. I will call direct next time............
