Restaurant description
The Monty Python members used to write material at The Angel Inn in Highgate Village. Today, its plush leather couches, 1930s wood panelling, and roaring fireplaces make it a comfy spot to enjoy cask ales and a range of British recipes. There is also live music on selected evenings, and popular quizzes.
Gourmet takes on wholesome British recipes can be found on The Angel Inn menu, including light lunch bites like the fish finger bap made with Aspall Cyder battered cod. From the grill, there are succulent steaks and a selection of burgers, with other favourites including golden brown chicken, ham hock and crème fraîche pie. Nutritious vegetarian options are served, such as quinoa and heritage carrot salad with omega seeds, and on Sundays there are generous roasts served with your choice of meats, and extras like fluffy Yorkshire puddings.
The Angel Inn Highgate drinks menu includes speciality beers from America, Belgium and Germany, as well as a concise wine list. For those with a sweet tooth, there are salted caramel profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream.
Also offering a small outdoor seating area to watch the world go by, The Angel Inn London is a pub rich in comfort and tradition. Highgate Tube Station is a 14-minute walk away.

Great atmosphere, with lovely Christmas decorations. We went on a Sunday for the roast dinner and we're not disappointed.
