We decided to visit that Angel Hotel for a little private celebration as we spent our first night of our wedding there.
Just the two of us took the luxurious afternoon tea in a most comfortable private lounge. It brought so many pleasant memories back.
The hotel is really beautiful and luxurious, the staff are so helpful and pleasant and the food was superb. We will certainly recommend the Angel Hotel to all our friends.

Nice little afternoon tea but it was little. Not enough savoury. Also lack of offer to refill teapots. No ambience in lounge, just business people working. Would have preferred to sit in restaurant.

Overall it was nice we could have done with more sandwiches.

Had the most wonderful afternoon and experience when taking my grandmother and mother out. We had never done anything like this before and to have been treat the way we were was so special. We absolutey loved every dish that was given to us and my favourites were the sausage rolls and carrot cake.

very nice, particularly the starters. I should have perhaps asked for a steak knife for the veal rump as it was a bit difficult to cut with a normal knife

We booked for the full afternoon tea. It was quick and easy to book. We were shown to our reserved table and served very quickly. The staff were friendly and efficient. We were seated in the lounge area on some comfortable sofas and it was quiet enough to have a conversation but not isolated so you could see what was going on. The food was delivered on a three tier cake stand and the warmed elements were still warm when received. The staff were attentive but not overly so, enough that you got what you needed but not enough to bother you. All in all we enjoyed the experience greatly and would go again.

We came for afternoon tea. Greeted beautifully by Charlotte and when we asked to have take tea in the lounge rather than the restaurant where we had been reserved a table she relocated us with without fuss most graciously. Tea was explained to us by another very personable young lady and it looked like we were in for a fabulous afternoon. Tea arrived and yet another very pleasant member of staff (male) explained the contents of the afternoon treat. At this time there were lots of staff floating about. Yet after a short while it was quite difficult to see any staff and we had to track one down and ask for our tea to be replenished. Disappointed with the contents of the tea (have enjoyed better in the past with you) visually and taste wise. Very ordinary. Certainly will not be repeating the experience. Somewhat disappointing "Birthday Treat". You have some excellent staff that certainly "go the extra mile" a shame the food let them and you down.

Food was delicious. Staff were helpful. But service was so slow. We arrived early but our table was the last one left. We watched as other tables were served dessert whilst we still waited for our main course. Coffee was weak and could not be described as coffee.
