I took a friend for afternoon tea for her birthday and she had champagne!! Everything was excellent from the service to the delicious treats, especially the sausage roll.

We went here for afternoon tea on a Saturday afternoon. It’s a very nice restaurant in a great location. The food was excellent although it would have been nice if plain scones were an option (they only had fruit ones). The savouries were particularly good. The service was a little bit slow but nothing too awful. We upgraded to champagne which was an extra £10.

Very pleasant surroundings, overlooking the cathedral gardens. Food excellence. Service attentive, perhaps a little more than necessary

We had a wonderful afternoon tea, everything was perfect from the sandwiches scones cakes and savoury. The young waitress who served us was very polite and helpful unfortunately I didn’t get her name. We had the afternoon tea in the lounge which was a lovely setting. After having a very disappointing meal in your restaurant last year this experience has given back the willing to come back again

Nice setting, good service & food. Interesting artwork & good music selection.

We had to wait 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Presentation wasn’t great and the bottom tray was wobbly on the table. Food quality was good and the right amount. Coffee and tea were excellent. One member of staff seemed a bit too keen to clear our table even though we were still eating, it felt we were rushed. Ambience was pleasant and location beautiful.

This was an excellent meal, in very nice surroundings.

The staff were friendly and polite without being fussy.

My real bug bare, and ive had 2 or 3 afternoon teas with yourselves,is the melamine,3 tier serving plates. Why can't you use crockery? Every where else I go,use proper crockery,it just lowers the tone. Could not fault the food.

Food was excellent but we felt we were being rushed. Very efficient service but please give the diner time to study the menu & wine list.
We also had to correct the bill. We were charged for individual dishes rather than the 2 course menu deal.
