The food was spectacular!! We had driven down from Bedfordshire and the food was very welcome after our long journey. I would recommend the meat platter starter and the fish and chips was perfection!!

Lovely ambience. Friendly polite staff. Good choice of wine. Very disappointing food though. Starter was a lovely sounding goats cheese salad, but it was a very basic salad that looked like it came out of a bag with small pieces of cheese, for over £6. Main was lamb rump, but was undercooked and gristly, I like rare meat but the texture and taste wasn't good. Others had a better experience with their dishes though so not all bad!

Ok. Waiter was very sweet and food was good. Left hanging around at the door for 5 mins without being shown to our table. Despite there being staff around, it seems we were invisible!

Staff were great. Food is average and the toilets need a good clean.

Pleasant Pub like/hotel restaurant in busy Lymington High street. Surprisingly good food (but portions were a little small but this did not matter). Good for lunchtime shopping on a Saturday or Sunday. Good parking in the High street or if not in the public car park behind Tesco.

In the past I've had some lovely meals here...however this was not the case this time. The food as always was super but the service was lacking. On booking I had made it clear we were on a timescale yet the service was v slow (on previous occassions this hasn't been a problem). We were then told dishes weren't available then they were! It was only the start of the lunch time 'run' as we booked for 12 noon, yet at least 3 dishes were not available. Once we had ordered, our party were served some starters. So far so good but we then waited almost an hour from ordering to eat our main course. At that time we were the only party in the restaurant. I do understand that all the food is cooked fresh and that you don't want to feel hurried but this was definitely too long. In the end we had to ask when our main course would be served. Overall, lovely food however sadly on this occasion service was poor and the atmosphere a little odd. Such a shame as we love the setting and have enjoyed previous visits.

The restaurant was very quiet and we sat by the window, it was quite hot in there, I ordered the roast chicken breast and my partner the Roast pork, when it came it was lovely and hot and the vegetable's were cooked to perfection, my partners pork had a great bit of crackling but the pork itself was very fatty and not cooked properly, it was also very hard to cut with the knife she had, she said to me that it would have been better in slices and not so fatty. The staff were good,

Had a lovely time. A very well designed and kept establishment. All staff were friendly as soon as we arrived plus the restaurant has a great home feeling about it with a good atsmosphere. Only one issue, was a shame they did not have Coke only Pepsi.
