The Adega Restaurant and Tapas Bar offers a delectable Iberian tapas menu replete with Spanish and Portuguese dishes including grilled octopus, confit pork belly, mushroom cappuccino and Atlantic prawns cooked in white wine. Mains and grilled specialities offer more choices, all using seasonal, local ingredients including fish from Devon and meat from Scotland. A carefully selected wine list accompanies the food.

The food was wonderful and wine selection perfectly matched. Family run with a personal and friendly service you just don't get in the chain restaurants. Had a great night at The Ageda. It is a little hidden gem. Don't know why it isn't full every night.

Was looking forward to finally having a tapas place locally. Overall, was very disappointed! Found it to be expensive ( £50 pounds per head) relative to what it offered i.e. not very good value for money. We had 5 tapas with a bottle of wine and shared a plate of tarts for dessert. Enjoyed the grilled octopus and the calamari ; the custard tarts were also quite good! The staff are not trained and the service is poor! The wine glasses are thick and cheap and take away from the enjoyment of the wine! The wines are relatively expensive at £25 for the cheapest bottle of white/red wine and the prices move up rapidly thereafter.

The food was delicious. We had tapas dishes to share for a starter and these were very tasty and ranged from the traditional (frittata) to the new (mushroom capacinno), followed by a main course, which again were cooked well. The staff were very friendly and did an excellent job. Would definitely go back.

We had such a lovely meal here. The tapas were delicious and so beautifully presented. The Gambas were to die for! But the best thing for me was how lovely and accommodating the staff were. We were in a bit of a rush as we were going to the theatre and they accommodated us so well and really went out of their way to ensure we had the best time. I would highly recommend this gorgeous little tapas restaurant- what a find!

Very reasonably priced food but beware the wine prices are excessive.

I went to The Adega with my team for lunch, we were all very impressed with the delicious food and the attentive service. Lots of nice little touches and attention to detail. The staff were absolutely lovely and we will definitely be coming back again.
