Up to the usual standard we have come to expect from this establishment. Good food and service, especially after lunchtime crowds with children had left and it was more adult dining. Chicken portions exceptional.

Unfortunately the restaurant was extremely busy and we had to wait for an hour before we had any food, but we were pre informed about that. One of our party's mains had to be sent back as it was cold but other than that the food was good and service excellent.

The service was wonderful but the food was appalling; really overcooked, swimming in fat, hugely disappointing.

The meals were ok. I had a chicken meal and the chicken was undercooked, so much so, there was blood on the bones. I told the waitress and the meal was deducted from the bill. Need more staff as it was quite busy.

Our first time to The Thatcher's Needle and we weren't disappointed. When first opened, local opinion seems to be about slow service but we did not experience this so I'd suggest you give them a try. Food was tasty, service was good. We will be returning.
