Having booked on line we arrived to be told that the table was needed again at 20.00 (one and a half hours later) so from the very beginning we felt as if we were being rushed. The venue was very small and tables were very close together (about 6 inches between us and the next table, in fact so close that there was no chance of having a private conversation and it seemed rude not to include the next table into the conversation because they were so close and commented on this. We had intended this to be a "special meal" but due to the poor first impressions decided cut things short. There was no flexibility in the menu to order a dish with or without a particular ingredient because we were told that the curry was already made and portioned out. All our previous experience in various Thai restaurants was that the meal was cooked to order. The massaman curry I had consisted only of sauce chicken potato and peanuts (cashew nuts are the usual rather than the cheaper peanut) - all other times that I have had this dish various vegetables were also included. My husband had a king prawn stir fry dish but only 2 prawns were evident which was a bit of a poor show. No prawn crackers offerred

The restaurant needs updating, thought it would be like the one near Leicester Square. I ordered lamb massusum - lamb was too hard it said on the menu it would be succulent. My daughter's main came after we finished eating ours, not very nice as we went out to celebrate her birthday. All in all not a very good experience.

They were very busy and our table was not ready when we arrived on time for our booking, we had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to leave. But the food was great and staff very friendly. It seems like they need a bigger restaurant as they had to turn so many people away who hadn't booked. The Thai wine was quite sweet, even though it was described as dry in the wine list.

Good. Fresh ingredients. Fragrant herbs. It's never the dame as Thai home cooking of course but I'd recommend Thai Square as a reliable, friendly easy place to eat authentic Thai food.

The food was excellent, but we were disapointed that we didn't got a glass of bubbles as we were promised when we booked our table.

Thai Square is always great but it was a pity that we had to wait for our table even though we'd reserved it.
