Extremely slow service. We were sat waiting for 20mins before being spoken to. Our starters arrived before our drinks and the food was average

Booked for a 10th birthday meal and had a lovely time. The birthday boy was made to feel very special by the staff, and he enjoyed wearing the balloon hat, being serenaded and receiving a birthday cake. It was these features which made our meal all the more special and memorable. The food was yummy too! The only thing was the service was a bit slow at points as the restaurant got busier, I think the waiter had too many tables to deal with.

Had a fantastic time previously with a large family booking. It was my anniversary, so though I would celabrate with my hubby somewhere we both enjoyed. I did mention on my booking that it was our anniversary, and if anything special could be done for us, that would be appreciated. After having our meal (starters and 2 steaks for mains, which the kitchen mixed up medium / well done on both), and the bar forgetting about our 2nd order of cocktails, we paid and left a bit dissapointed to be honest. Staff friendly enough but a bit robotic with every table (overhearing the same thing said to each of us in the area). I would return, just not sure when

We arrived 10 min early so at the door I told the girl that we were happy to wait for our table at the bar and she gave me one of those little beepers and told me it will let us know when our table was ready. However after waiting for about 25 minutes I went to the manager and ask whether our table was ready to which she replied that we should not have been given a beeper as we had a booking and that she will fix us a table straight away, she also offered to get a round of drinks for us.
Once we were shown to our table and placed the orders we had to wait for a really long time (over an hour) and only after another conversation with the manager we finally got our food.
My friend (who is a vegetarian) got the vegetables pasta, unfortunately the pasta was really overcooked, the butternut squash undercooked and the tomato sauce really bland. The rest of us ordered burgers and unfortunately the patties were really dry and the chips didn't have that amazing seasoning they usually have.
All in all it was not great, which is a shame cos I visited the same restaurant on Thursday with a couple of friends and the whole experience was incredible, appetisers, mains and desserts and Elliott, our waiter was lovely, so we were really looking forward to a good meal after going to the cinema but maybe cos it was so busy, it was not the same.
I need to praise the effort of the manager not only cos of the free drinks but because the whole restaurant was pretty busy and she was very apologetic and did try to make our visit better.
I love TGI Friday's the only reason why I didn't visit more often was because the closest one was in Crawley, it won't be the last one either cos I really do love the whole idea of it, I just hope the next time is like the first visit to the Brighton restaurant.

Very good food, excellent and friendly staff.Quite busy restaurant and food took a bit too long to be served. But overall very pleasant evening with friends and nice food. Meals are big and desserts are huge.
