Restaurant description

Awarded a Michelin Star in 2010 for its excellent healthy cuisine and exquisite wines, Texture Restaurant and Champagne Bar is housed in a beautifully restored Georgian building on Portman Square

The Texture menu offers modern European dishes with Scandinavian influences, focusing on combining British produce that is sourced from both the earth and sea with ingredients from Sverrisson's native Iceland.

The muted interior of the restaurant and champagne bar blends contemporary elegance with original features and striking artwork by renowned Icelandic artist, Tolli. Elegantly designed, the champagne bar is perfect for pre-dinner aperitifs or those who want to take advantage of the extraordinary champagne and wine list.

In the heart of Mayfair, Texture Restaurant & Champagne Bar features crisp, elegant décor and offers a private dining room. Next to Oxford Street, Marble Arch Tube Station is a 2-minute walk away.

I first went to Texture for Lunch with two work colleagues three weeks ago and we were all wowed by the fantastic food, service but must say that on my second visit on Sunday despite choosing the same Menu and dishes, for example both Duck Leg and Cod were presented differently, a slight disappointment as I have recommend the place to several people..

A friend and I went to texture for the 3 course lunch menu with champagne and it was fabulous! From the pre-starters to the pudding every dish offered something new and exciting. The staff were present without being invasive and could offer so much information about the food and the wine. As a space Each table has plenty of space so even though there's atmosphere you don't feel crowded. All in all, an outstanding experience with unforgettable food, lovely people, and a wonderful space.

We dined using the deal of 3 courses and a glass of champagne for 35 pounds. The restaurant has an Icelandic influence. Food was very well presented and delicious. My dining companions all had the fish main course, which they all enjoyed. I chose the duck breast and leg main course. The duck leg was presented on a separate elaborately decorated tray in a very theatrical way.I chose the dessert using Skyr yoghurt which was very refreshing. Although we decided not to have coffee we received some complimentary petit fours.

We got the lunch deal. Said it was only 3 courses but ended up being more like 7. All delicious. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely restaurant and efficient and charming service Delicious food which Felt very healthy! The duck was probably the best I can remember tasting Bookatable’s deal was very good but once you add in £5.50 for water....and a carafe of a reasonable wine it was not exactly cheap ! And the 5 courses included the appetiser and pre-desert which in other restaurant deals are not counted as courses!!! All in all a pleasant evening

Feed was very good. The way the duck was cook was unusual but very good. Nothing was to much trouble. I will eat there again.

Great food, interesting but traditional enough (ie food looks like food :-)) for the less adventures folks.
