The menu du jour was excellent value, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was charming. Being a Monday lunchtime the restaurant was very quiet so lacked a little in buzz

One of London’s most famous dining rooms, the Ten Room brings informal British dining to the iconic Hotel Café Royal on Regent Street. The striking interior features lofty ceilings and smooth leather banquettes.

With Chef de Cuisine Armand Sablon at the helm, the Ten Room menu adds French inspiration to modern, seasonal British dishes.

Offering a gourmet selection throughout the day, enjoy the Ten Room’s traditional English breakfast, lunch, cream tea, or dinner until late. A set pre-theatre menu is also served.

Sensitively restored original features evoke timeless grandeur at this iconic London restaurant. A short stroll from Theatreland, The Ten Room restaurant on Regent Street sits just 2 minutes’ walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

While the Ten Room is Hotel Café Royal's main dining destination, guests can also enjoy cocktails in the adjoining Green Bar, afternoon tea in the historic Oscar Wilde Bar, or head to Papillon, the chic café-restaurant.

We had a lovely relaxing time over a delicious lunch. Each course was impeccably presented and the waiting staff had just the right balance of service without intrusion. Excellent value and very special.

We had a wonderful meal -the pre theatre menu was delicious and very good value. The staff were delightful and very attentive. Highly recommended

Small restaurant, with nice atmosphere. Food wasn't amazing, but was nice. Set menu for £32 is good but with sides and bottle of wine, is more like £50 a head.

Frankly, very disappointing. Based on pleasant pre-restoration visits to Cafe Royal, we invited out-of-town friends for a Christmas treat. Also, we had a fantastic experience at thwe Cinnamon Club with a previous Bookatable booking. The Ten Room was not a charming, relaxing place, it felt more like a transit place, like an airport lounge, noisy and cold. The service was disinterested and incompetent. We were not greeted by anyone, nor led to the table (our guests had arrived ahead of us, so we knew where to go); the staff did not seem to know (or care) what type of booking we had, so we had to ask (and it was hard to track down anyone to ask; the girl on the reception desk kept disappearing for long periods at the time) several times for the menu and for the included champagne to start our meal. Food was OK. Bread selection was fine and came with some sort of tomato spread. Most of us had the smoked salmon starter, which was good. The main course, the beef cheek was OK, but nothing special. We chose cheese instead of pudding, which was a pretty standard selection, but came with a £5 supplement per head. Wine was fine, but very expensive. The whole thing turned out more expensive and much less satisfying than we had hoped. We were quite embarrassed in front of our friends.

Perfect location for an early dinner before a show. Only 5mins walk from Prince of Wales Theatre. Booked for 5:30 and this was perfect to get to the Theatre for 7:30 without rushing.
3 course set menu was excellent and came with a glass of champagne.
Good choice of starters, mains and deserts. With vegetarian, Chicken and Fish on the main course selection.
Portion sizes aren't huge, and the sides are a little expensive, but the quality was excellent and perfect for me.
Wine list was very good, but prices started around £45 (from memory).
Desert was amazing blood orange mouse and ginger ice cream.
Excellent service, even though they forgot a side of potatoes, they couldn't apologise enough and removed them from the bill.
    Would definitely go back.

Food was good although set menu had changed and staff had difficulty in understanding that we wanted to have two course from set menu and rest from a la carte. It is expensive to eat here and drinks are also very pricey

Good star deal, limited choice but everything looked good. Service friendly and attentive. Wine list a bit on the expensive side from my usual experience.

Dined here for an important occasion on a Saturday night. Was hoping for something special but unfortunately it didn't deliver. Staff were at first disinterested and it all felt a bit unprofessional throughout. The surroundings were very average with no elegance in the small restaurant. Was hoping for some live piano from previous reviews, but that wasn't to be. Food was ok in a pre-prepared sort of way but nothing special at all. Wine list was pricey and didn't feel worth it. The bill was large by the time the expensive side orders had been added. Being hungry, these add ons were essential and should really be included. That meant it didn't feel like good value compared to other Bookatable offers we've tried at other, much classier, venues. I won't be back.
