Beautiful hotel and restaurant. We had the bottomless Prosecco afternoon tea. Staff were great very attentive and great at keeping our Prosecco topped up. Unfortunately the sandwiches were not that great and there were only 6 little finger sandwiches between 2 of us. I was shocked when I asked for more sandwiches the staff said there would be an extra charge however they didn’t charge us in the end I think they realised that just wouldn’t have been fair. The sandwich fillings were not that nice and very very cold you could tell they had been pre made and left in the fridge......... the cakes were lovely and so were the scones especially the Beetroot ones. I’m an afternoon tea is one of my fav things to do but sadly this was my least favourite out of all the ones I have been to. My star rating is based only on the food NOT the service we received. The staff could not do enough for us.

Service great. Ambience and location fine Disappointed with quality of tea (served via tea bag rather than leaves) and cakes/sandwiches - too dry. Scones and clotted cream nice

When we entered the lounge the gent ignored us and then assumed and asked if we were on a ‘group on’ voucher not very professional! However we loved the venue and the afternoon tea was delicious. This experience was made more special as it was our 3rd wedding anniversary and Alexandra explained everything to us what was in each serving she was attentive, polite, funny interested in us as customers. Thank you she is a asset to your hotel. We will be back.
