I booked a table to celebrate my birthday, as I have eaten here on a number of occasions and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. We ate late Saturday afternoon. Although the restaurant was fairly busy, there was plenty of space for our table of 10. It was recommended that we order the 'buffet style" menu to share as our food may not arrive at the same time, if we all ordered 3 or 4 tapas each. We did and it was amazing. Everything was wonderful and there was plenty of it. However, the staff were not at all attentive. We had to request additional wine glasses and menus as they appeared to be standing around talking rather than checking on the tables and requesting the bill was a mission in itself; taking 3 or 4 attempts!!! This was the first time I had experienced questionable service, but was a tad miffed to find 10% service charge had been added to the bill!! However, we paid it and I will be returning as I am such a fan of the food. If you are in need of any suggestions - the aubergine with honey is to die for; so much so, my friend and I refuse to share so always have a portion each!

We was recently in the restaurant (city centre) on Friday 11th march, apart from the meal tasting like it had all been previously cooked and warmed up in a microwave we was also disgusted with what happened when paying the bill.. We chose to pay by debit card the waiter come over with the machine and put the card into it. I never put any pin in or pressed anything at all the waiter all of a sudden told us the pin was blocked but we had not put any pin in yet??!! We was telling him we knew quite well there was money in there and he said that is the message coming up on the machine so we all had to scramble together money to pay. When we left we went straight to the cash machine and drew money out there and then? Even though the waiter told us that we most probably wouldn't be able to how he knew that I will never no obviously trying to fiddle us! It was also a special occasion (dad birthday) and was there for a treat to pay for a nice meal for him instead we was embarrassed and felt really ashamed having to scramble money off everyone at the table when we knew quite well we had money. Wouldn't mind but the food was horrible as well will not return..!

We dined as a party of 16, which include small children. We were totally looked after from the minute we arrived the service was great, despite the large party all food arrive timely and was totally authentic (not like what you get at some of the more well known chains)The usual Tapas were delicious (flavoursome meatballs, spicy patatas bravas).I recommend you try the rice balls, chicken in white wine or the pan fried black pudding in cider sauce the menu is extensive and we will certainly be going back to try the bits we could not fit in last time. little gem well worth the visit
