What a beautiful cosy, modern and clean restaurant with an excellent Indian feel. Staff were very attentive and welcoming and food was scrumptious! Would definitely recommend it for flavor and presentation. My favorite dishes were the baingan burtha and vegetarian biryani

Excellent. Made to feel very welcome. First visit to the area and the restaurant. We came following a friend's recommendation and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Staff went through the menu to highlight their own recommendations and what some of the less well known dishes were. Could not fault it.

Reminds me of fine dining in India, at the Bukhara ITC Delhi and Peshwari ITC Mumbai. Liked all courses chosen. The chutneys with the papads are lovely. The lamb chops and chicken breast kebabs beautiful. Fresh breads from the tandoor melt in the mouth. Also, served on nicely coloured crockery from Stoke! - my home town.

Very different take on Indian Cuisine. Food, service and atmosphere were spot on. It is quite pricey but that’s to be expected when you provide top quality food with lots of attentive staff.

First time at Tandoor at the Chambers, based a recommendation from friends, would not go again in a rush, in particular due to the attitude and arrogance of the manager/owner.

We found the taste overall just ok, none of the dishes blew us away from a taste standpoint, especially given they charge central london prices. For starters we had the chaat, which was bit too sweet tasting, Keema on a Naan which was a bit stodgy, and Monkfish from their specials board, which was a very small portion i.e. 2 small pieces for £14, which was on a bed of sweetcorn, which did not really go with the fish.

Given we found the starters a little bland, on ordering mains we were asked if we wanted mild or spicy, so we asked for spicy for our shahi paneer and lamb and bombay aloo, given we can handle and enjoy spicy food. We found the spices so over powering to point we could not really enjoy the mains, whilst the meat etc was tender and had nice sauce, all we could taste was the spices, which felt like a big spoon on red chilli power had be thrown into the curries . In the end we struggled to eat both of the curries and left more than half of each, which we then asked to be packed.

We mentioned the issue with the curries to the waitress. who was apologetic and said if it was too spicy we should have flagged it and they could have made the dishes again. We said we did not want to have to wait for curries to be cooked again and we just wanted to end the evening and leave. We noticed the waitress mentioned the issue to the female manager/owner.

Our bill arrived, no offer to provide any sort of discount for the ruined mains. As we left and said goodbye to the manager/owner, she just said thanks and could not really look us in the eye and did not have the decency to say sorry about the spice levels. We found this very arrogant of her and a result we will not be returning any time soon.

Note we rarely give reviews, but felt compelled to give one given the arrogance of the manager/owner
