Dinner is served from 17:30 to 23:30. The late night bar is open until 02:00 Monday to Thursday, and 03:00 on Friday and Saturday.

The glamourous Tamarai restaurant in Covent Garden is a pageant of pan-Asian cuisine, combining flavours from India, Burma, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam to showcase the finest and most flavourful dishes to be found on the Lotus Trail.

The gleaming candelabras and rich dark colours of the exotic interior attract a fashionable Covent Garden crowd who keep the atmosphere buzzing late into the night, aided by the stylish bar with its award-winning wine list. Tamarai's head chef, Manish Mehrotra, has travelled and trained extensively throughout Asia and supervises a team of specialists in each cuisine, including a master chef from Chettinad, India.

The bar is also a major reason why Tamarai is one of the most popular late night destinations in London. Awarded Best Late Night Bar in the UK in 2008 and recognised with the award for the Best Wine List in London by The Independent, Tamarai Bar has an in-house DJ and Video Jockey who bring the bar to life with multiple LCD screens showing specially created video images synchronised to the music. Diners at Tamarai can also enjoy a late night license and complementary parking in the building; rare amenities for London restaurants.

Had a great dinner with the girls for my 40th birthday on Saturday night (Chef's Taster menu at 50% off), but was a bit iratated when we had to vacate our table very soon after dinner to make room for the club set up! (the club was not very full that night and only played R n B music). They do serve the Chef's Menu dinner option quite promptly from 7pm, even if you are still waiting for guests. Beware, the location on Drury Lane is quite hard to find.

Fabulous place.. I love the whole vibe around this place, delicious food and a very stylish decor. Recently launched new menu is such a great value for money at just £15. Been to a couple of club nights n they have been a lot of fun too !

It was my 25th birthday and I booked the much talked about lotus lounge for a private get together with my close friends. We were 26 of us and everything at tamarai was beyond expectations. The music was jus amazing with the DJ playing my favourite music as per request.. the food was awesum and my friends were all praise about my party. The pan-asian food, cocktails and the elaborate wine-list, everything decided as per my wish , this was just the perfect personalised birthday party i could have and best part that it was all worth the price i payed. So im sure many more parties to come at this happening place. Definitely recommend tamarai to everyone.!!

We had a party of 8 people and decided on the taster menu. What an excellent choice - the food was fantastic. All the staff were welcoming and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. As we dine out regulalry as a group Tamari will definately be on our list of venues to revisit again & again.
