Restaurant description

Pairing authentic French cuisine with a destination wine, champagne and cocktail bar and an in-house bakery, Le Restaurant de PAUL brings a contemporary burst of colour and energy to Old Broad Street.

Open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and drinks, the Restaurant de PAUL menu showcases produce from artisan French cheesemakers, and sources meats from the Queen’s butcher, Donald Russell. Along with gourmet plats du jour, indulge in eggs-any-way, freshly-whizzed smoothies and classics like smoked haddock with pesto, or entrecote steak.

The dedicated bar at Le Restaurant de PAUL near Liverpool Street offers a carefully chosen list of regional French red, white and rosé wines along with a selection of premium champagnes. Cocktails include the signature L’Avion Blue, the Negroni Lavande and the Martini Café.

Relax in armchairs and 1950’s-style benches, surrounded by mirrored panels, muted lighting, and splashes of emerald, aquamarine and ruby. Find Le Restaurant de Paul in London equidistant between Liverpool Street and Bank stations.

I know it’s Xmas but the music was loud and could not hear ourselves speak. When we arrive we got drinks straight away then the service tailed off. And we ordered drinks in the happy hour and then 10 mins after that was asked if we wanted more drinks as happy hour was finishing so we ordered again. All drinks came up at once! The food was good but we were never asked if we wanted dessert or a coffee. And took a while to attracting anyone’s attention. Don’t get me wrong it’s lovely place to go but maybe not at this time of year.

Experience was fantastic overall, the menu choice was lovely - great selection and the starters were a huge hit, loved how we could share these. Turkey main could have done with a bit more gravy as it was a little dry, however overall I had lots of great feedback on the menu.

Lovely experience, tried a nice mushroom and bacon tartine served warm, very tasty , also perfectly cooked salmon with giant couscous. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very cosy, polite and helpful staff. Great place in the city to have a lunch, dinner and also have some lovely cocktails.

Absolutely brilliant. The food (afternoon tea) was incredible, so delicious and plentiful. Not your boring cucumber sandwich’s either, freshly baked mini rolls, gorgeous mini pastries and cakes. Lovely. We must mention Carmen our server, what a absolute delight and made our visit and night! So helpful, I hope the restaurant will pass on our thanks and appreciation. Definitely will be back!

Very busy during lunch as you would expect for a good chain in the city. Waiters were a lovely combination of fast, polite and massivly demonstrative ladies that left us wanting for nothing. Food was good (minute steak recommended by the lovely waiter

Overall a fantastic time at this restaurant, communication leading up to the dinner on set menus and pre orders from Victoria were fantastic. We had to increase our party from 10 to 15 and Victoria was able to accommodate this which I really appreciated. Will be back for sure! Thanks
