The roots of Sukhothai is the cooking magic of Wanphen Heymann-Sukphan, a Thai native that like no one else embraces the soul of Thai cuisine in Europe. Together with her husband, Gion Heymann, she ran the haute-cuisine restaurant Sukhothai in Zurich from 1992 to 2005. In 1997, Wanphen was awarded one Michelin star as the first female Thai chef in the world.
