In a sunny riverside setting, Strada Royal Festival Hall has a glorious patio terrace for al fresco Italian dining. This flagship Strada on the South Bank has a bustling, contemporary vibe and plenty of outdoor seating.

Strada Italian restaurants showcase rustic yet contemporary dishes using fine, seasonal produce. Specialities include Strada’s handmade pizzas, grilled meat and fish dishes, fresh risotto and pastas.

Full of delicious and fresh dishes, the Strada menu features rustic favourites like sautéed butterflied king prawns with white wine, chilli and lemon butter, fillet of pork with sage and Parma ham or Puglia-style fish stew with clams, mussels and red mullet. There are plenty of tasty vegetarian options at Strada restaurant, and a fun kids menu with popular Italian classics.

With a picturesque setting, Royal Festival Hall Strada is one of the busiest Italian restaurants in London. Waterloo Rail Station is just a 7-minute walk away.

Having booked a table for 1pm because I was meeting up with a long lost relative from New Zealand for the first time, and with limited time to spare - it transpired that he was shown to one table and we to another !! We lost half an hour of precious time due to a very sloppy reception before I managed to sort things out. Consequently a very hurried meal with good service from our waiter.

Certainly the busiest and buzziest branch *I* have ever visited! Efficient and competent service. Basic Italian fare.

Very mediocre food, prepared in advance. Nice tiramisu.

Considering it was raining, super-busy and crowded the service and friendly approach of the staff was fantastic. Its probably not the place for a romantic rendevous as the tables are close together - but for a group or family its perfect.

It was a very pleasant experience. All the dishes arrived quickly and the service was excellent even though it was very busy. We had booked in advance using book a table.com and it all went very smoothly. We will be back!

I asked for a quiet table - not easy to find in this restaurant. We sat in the annex to the main dining room (at the side of the stairs up to the Festival Hall) where it can be a little chilly and-found a red blanket on each seat; an acknowledgement that it could be cold but deflected any complaints.
