Housed within the bustling International Convention Centre, Strada Birmingham offers a varied menu of contemporary Mediterranean dishes in a bright, contemporary setting. The restaurant boasts a canal side location with al fresco dining in the summer months.

Strada Italian restaurants are all about fresh, real Italian food. Made-from-scratch risottos, stone-baked pizzas, artisan ice cream, incredible Italian wines and coffee make up the Strada menu, and all meat and fish is cooked from fresh. A lengthy stock of premium ingredients includes higher welfare, grain-fed beef from Northamptonshire, found in Strada’s juicy taleggio burgers, and on a list of prime steaks.

Free Wi-Fi is offered throughout Strada restaurants, and cosy booths are the perfect setting for a cake-and-espresso pit stop. Not forgetting little foodies, the kids’ menu features miniature versions of delicious Italian classics.

Within a minute's walk of the Symphony Hall and Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Birmingham Strada is a perfect venue for a pre-theatre or pre-concert meal.

Food taste and presentation very good. Portions small.

Booked in advance for a special occasion. Not busy. Staff exceptionally slow. Waited 25 minutes for first drinks to arrive. Had to prompt staff several times for attention to take orders, cutlery, etc. Didn't feel service reflected prices. Staff pleasant but not terribly 'on it'. Would have booked somewhere else for the special occasion had I known. Special offers emailed to me 10 minutes after booked slot, so unable to use unfortunately as I don't routinely check emails at the table. Meant I missed out on savings which felt a bit naughty. The restaurant has massive potential but not maximising business potential. I would have ordered more drinks and puddings/coffee with more efficient service and would have been more likely to recommend to friends.

My wife and I dined at Strada on Sunday evening after a show at the adjacent Symphony Hall. The restaurant was quiet. Service was pleasant and friendly. We both enjoyed tasty flatbreads to start. For mains, my wife had a generously sized burger and chips and I had chicken and mushrooms. All was well cooked and enjoyable. Cheesecake to finish. A really good meal and good value for money with a Tastecard.

There were 4 of us in the end, and we had a very pleasant relaxed meal and chat, which was exactly what we wanted.

My wife and I dined pre-theatre with a Tastecard discount. We enjoyed all three courses. We both had chicken with mushroom sauce as our main. It was tasty, but would have been better if there had been more meat and more sauce. The serving staff, as ever, were pleasant and efficient, but it was busy and they were rushed off their feet. A large party arrived and it was very noticeable that the speed of service to our table and others nearby declined rapidly at that point. We had a long wait to place and then receive our sweet and coffee orders. It was apparent that they need to arrange for more staff to be working to cope with the number of diners at busy times. Overall though, a good and enjoyable meal.

My wife and I eat quite frequently at Strada. The restaurant's location by the Symphony Hall and the Rep etc. makes it ideal for a pre-show meal. The restaurant is quite large, frequently busy and is smart and comfortable. The food is usually well cooked and tasty, but on our most recent visit my wife's dish included three mussels which were off. We complained to the waiter and he arranged for us to compensated with complimentary coffees. The serving staff are always courteous and helpful, but often rather slow. We find that if we are seated in one of the more distant corners we can experience an occasional scarcity of waiting staff, causing our meals to be delayed longer than we would like. Overall though, Strada provide a pleasant eating experience. We once ate there on the last Friday of the month when they have live jazz. The saxophonist who was playing was really good and his music added to the enjoyment of our meal.
