It was our 5th visit over an 18 month period, the staff change but never their quality, enthusiasm and service levels, the food as always was really tasty, fresh and well presented. The local white wine we ordered was terrific. A lovely evening

An award-winning foodie haven, St Clement’s showcases honest British cuisine, with a special focus on fish and seafood. As well as achieving a coveted Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2012, praise comes courtesy of seafood expert, Rick Stein.

Offering a wholesome, honest selection of dishes weaved with quirky St Clement’s twists, favourites include Spanish fish stew with chick peas and chorizo, or baked scallops with lemongrass and chilli. Striving to source from local stocks and using simple, trusty cooking techniques, natural flavours shine through on the St Clement’s menu.

Creative and cleansing treats for desserts include elderflower jelly with summer fruits, or caramelised apricot tart. Testament to its mentions in The Good Food and Hardens guides, St Clement’s in St Leonards-on-Sea showcases a sensitively-compiled list of wines.

Enjoying a faithful foodie following, beautifully understated St Clement’s restaurant is an 8-minute walk from St Leonards Warrior Square Rail Station.

All in all a good experience. I was glad there was a £9.50 children's menu though the spaghetti (tomato) my grandson considered was pasta with tomato ketchup; I didn't try it so can't say.
    Deserts gorgeous.
Trout (?) niçoise good but the whole dish not very exciting.

This is one of the best restaurants I've dined at in a long time. The service was warm and attentive, the dishes were local and of quality, and the environment was cool and casual.

My wife and I booked the restaurant for lunch as we stayed a couple of days in Rye and wanted to try something new. We arrived nice and early and had the restaurant to ourselves for a short while. It was a boiling hot day but the restaurant was nice and cool. The waitress was very polite and welcoming and the service was good. We chose a South African Chardonnay to enjoy with our meal. I had the lobster dish and my wife chose Cod. Desserts were delicious too! The restaurant was not full but the atmosphere was good. I would certainly recommend the restaurant to others.
