In the heart of the bustling West End, Squares serves modern British flavours. A contemporary dining room features floor-to-ceiling windows and glossy dark wood, whilst a covered terrace offers year-round al fresco dining.

Making use of meticulously sourced seasonal produce, the Squares menu offers a quarterly changing selection. Sterling Squares restaurant classics offer refreshingly simple yet wholesome flavours, with options like spaghetti with fresh napolitana sauce, or battered haddock with chips.

An extensive wine list features a well-researched selection, and the bar serves cool international beers. For classic indulgence at Squares London, timeless European dessert flavours range from a light and smooth crème brulee, to the warming taste of bread and butter pudding.

Housed within the grand surrounds of The Royal Trafalgar Thistle Hotel, Sqaures Leicester Square offers a relaxed retreat from the throngs of Theatreland. Piccadilly and Leicester Square Tube Stations are both 4 minutes’ walk away.

Enjoyed an excellent champagne breakfast! Made the day extra special.

We booked a 6pm table to give us well an hour and half to have one course before a trip to the theatre[...]. My wife and I ordered a main course and after 35 minutes waiting, asked where it was (the restaurant had about three tables occupied). We were told it would be five minutes, after another 10-15 minutes waiting we gave up and walked out, as we had to get to the theatre. There seemed to be no indication that the food would ever arrive!

Dined at 6:00 on a Friday evening and dined from the special offer 3 course menu. The service was ok but not what you'd call very attentive considernig there was only 5 tables in and 2 people servicing tables. The food was ok (I had fish and chips, it was breaded fish which was obviously straight from the freezer to deep fryer to plate with half a ramekin of mushy peas) but nothing to entice my return - most offers like these are there as a lost leader to get you back, obviously Squares has missed the trick. If you want an ok 3 course meal which is nothing to write home about then great but don't expect a dining experience. Maybe their service and food is spot on if you have the main menu, I will not be finding out as will not be going back.

We dined here on the 27th December 2011. We had a nice time. The food was good and very good value for money. We had the 3 courses for [$]. The staff were friendly but it was very quiet. Would definately go back.

Our booking was 6.00pm on 19 December 2011. Friendly greetings and prompt efficiency from the Receptionist and some of the waiting staff, with the exception of one waiter who was very abrupt and not very helpful. The atmosphere was fairly relaxed. Overall the food was of average quality, the fish and chips were overdone, the spaghetti was quite plain and boring, the best part of the meal was the dessert (bread and butter pudding). We ordered a hot chocolate and a cup of tea which were quite pricey.

Despite being the only people in the restaurant from 5 until 6pm, the main dish arrived luke warm. Hard to excuse the chef's lack of attention to the basics.

Good offer - 3 courses for £10...but they weren't trying to get us back there for a full price meal with the food on offer!
