With a New York warehouse feel of exposed brick walls and an industrial horseshoe-shaped bar, Sophie's Steakhouse Chelsea is a funky setting for prime cuts and signature cocktails. All meat served is butchered on-site, and on Sundays there are popular roast dinners with all the trimmings.
British native breeds are dry-aged on the Sophie's Steakhouse Chelsea menu, with a great selection of cuts available. Other classic grill delicacies include chargrilled tuna steak with avocado, tomato and red onion salsa, a range of burgers, and there are indulgent sides of beef dripping fries and creamed spinach too. On Sundays, the roast dinners are a hugely popular draw, with a selection of slow-cooked meats served.
Sophie's Steakhouse in Chelsea serves a comprehensive wine list, with plenty of full-bodied reds to complement the meat specialities. From the horseshoe bar, there are signature cocktails and guest beers served, while the dessert menu offers up homemade ice cream, and sticky date pudding.
A chic American-style steakhouse with an intimate neighbourhood feel, Sophie's Steakhouse Chelsea is set right on the bustling Fulham Road, and is 13 minutes' walk from Gloucester Road Tube Station.

The Chateaubriand was delicious and the service was outstanding.

Gone downhill. No chorizo nibbles anymore
Scallops meat and veggies excessively salty
Chateaubriand ok but a bit of a disappointment

Everything was great, friendly and efficient service, comfortable and stylish interior, but found the steaks to be mediocre, especially the presentation. Received a plain white plate with a rump steak, no garnish or finesse, reminded me of school/summer camp dining! Extras like chips and veggies were served separately (which is a popular trend) but the main dish should not look like a budget offering.
Pricing was on the high side for what they offer, would have given another star if the food/presentation was better, OR the prices were slightly lower. Burgers were better than the steaks, ice-cream was magic, and other deserts were very tasty too.

Exceptional beef - we shared the chateaubriand and cote de boeuf which was out of this world and great service - thank you!

Booked a table, was seated at a booth but then moved to a cafe style walk-in table in the front. Not sure whether the pretext that the table was reserved for another couple was valid. The steaks were good though...

It had changed - difficult to say why exactly. No selection of bread and salami to start would be one. Place was half empty - on a match day!!

I have been coming here for 15 years - a local fav of ours. The ribeye steak was great as always and the service was super friendly and efficient. A few issues due to some changes by "management" apparently - no more salami on the table to start - as my friends will tell you I am a big fan of this...now they put a tiny bowl of homemade crisps in its place. We were told by one person that salami was too expensive and by another that Sophie's wanted to provide something "homemade" - either way not a great decision. And the worst part of the evening was that we all ordered our usual ribeye steaks and we asked for some green beans and spinach on the side. When they brought the food, we asked where the fries were....the waiter told us that as of a few days ago you needed to order them separately. He didn't mention this when we ordered and we didn't bother to look at the menu. Sophie's used to give you salad and a choice of potato with your steak then it became salad and fries then just fries that last time I was there a few weeks ago. If Sophie's management is trying to turn the place into a high end a la carte steak restaurant then fine, I am betting they will lose a lot of the regular customers. I love the vibe there and always a great steak but the high price for a piece of meat with no sides and the small changes (like removing the salami) have made it less appealing.

Sophie’s a great place for friends reunions or large group brunches. Kids friendly offers variety of choices. They can’t guarantee gluten free meals though.
