Featuring a stunning custom-built fire pit right in the middle of the restaurant, Sophie's Soho is a steakhouse with a real sense of grandeur and theatre. Set inside the converted Moulin Cinema, there is also a downstairs bar for laid-back cocktails and more casual meals.
The stunning firepit isn't just for show – the Sophie's Soho menu is based around it. Enjoy prime rib that is slow-roasted for 5 hours, succulent porterhouse, and the 12oz New York strip, all available with a range of sauces. For those not after steak, there are options like roasted chicken in a tarragon jus, as well as seafood treats such as hot smoked salmon. Smaller plates are also served, including seared scallops, and BBQ pork ribs.
10oz martinis are a speciality at Sophie's in Soho, with mixes like pumpkin margarita, and one made with chilli-infused vanilla vodka with passionfruit. A polished wine list is also served, with plenty of reds to complement the meat delicacies from the grill.
In a stunning setting with a real sense of cooking spectacle, Sophie's Soho is just a minute's walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

Well this was a disappointment, loved going to the old Sophies in Covent Garden and was looking forward to the new Sophies, what a let down! Totally accept a Monday night after Xmas - nobody about and therefore. not much atmosphere in restaurant - The bar was excellent and could easily just pop in for a few drinks, when we sat down, the menu looked like it was temporary - small and just laminated - no board showing specials available - no board showing the cuts and size of beef available? We ordered 2 starters which on the menu was "to share" neither were big enough to share! We had only 3 types of sharing beef to order from - choose the Chateaubriand - was cooked nicely (as ordered) tasted ok, but was just served on a plain white plate not dressed - just like you were at home!!! The food was ok, but unlike the old restaurant there was no WOW factor - if this is how the new Sophie's is going to be i am afraid they have lost a customer - to the old Sophie's was a great venue to take customers but this experience was so so disappointing !!!! Hope improves

This was the second visit to Sophie's new location but the first since they opened, the previous visit was in their shakedown period. However, the fire pit is still not up and running and this affects the menu choices adversely. Sophie's has also demonstrably changed emphasis in the venue move. A lot of what we loved the old location for has gone and it would appear that they are now repositioning themselves as an upmarket steakhouse, given the new price points of the menu. This is a shame! We've lost an old friend for someone new and the trade isn't working yet. Based on the new price points, they have put themselves in the same market as a number of other restaurants in the immediate vicinity and, certainly at present without the full fire pit menu, Sophie's is running way behind the competition. Long gone are favourite dishes like fish & chips and ribs and the brownie hasn't made the menu yet. Overall, not happy.

Came here for a special Christmas meal but was very disappointed. Have had much better steak for cheaper. Would only recommend going if you have vouchers or something similar so you don't pay full price!

Excellent food and wine, venue could do with a bit more atmosphere but most importantly the service was pretty bad. Staff were distracted (by each other), they were not attentive and not focused on the job at hand and really spoilt the night.
Otherwise a great spot to eat and drink.
