From Jason Atherton, the man behind Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social, Social Wine and Tapas in Marylebone is a relaxed tapas restaurant and wine shop. Expect modern British snacks and tapas, served alongside a wine list of fine bottles from around the world.

The Social Wine and Tapas menu begins with charcuterie and cheese selections using the finest British and Spanish produce. Elsewhere on the menu, find the likes of pan-fried hen’s egg with chorizo jam and avocado on brioche, confit sea trout with wasabi, and Cumbrian lamb rump with spring greens, salsa verde, and anchovy. Desserts are equally rich in flavour, and include fresh peaches with elderflower and lime sorbet, and salted caramel ice cream with butterscotch sauce and chocolate soil.

My husband and I had a lovely evening here. We were seated downstairs at the bar which we thought would not be the best experience but it actually worked really well. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a great bottle of wine from their extensive list. Wines can be quite expensive but some unusual finds. We ordered 6 tapas dishes to share & enjoyed them all, particularly their take on Caesar Salad. We then had a small plate of cheese to finish with.
    Will definitely return.
