Beautiful setting, and a great set up with stunning views and, best of all, a circular couch with a wood burner in the centre. I had the 8oz Dartmoor Sirloin steak and I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had - melty and perfectly cooked. Had a great night and would happily recommend it to others!

Great service but below average food. You would expect better from a 5 star hotel!

Food quality is not great and definitely not at level of the hotel.

First class from entering to departure. Additional highlights:- Silvia our waitress gets a big tick from us, plus the very nice man who parked our car and finally the other staff dressed up in lovely country clothing were so helpful in trying to identify the river and it's tributaries. We will be back, Reg & Sharon Lawton

I love the ambience of this hotel, and it's surroundings, so I'm often here.
You can never go wrong with the steak dinners, they are always good.
This time I had a whole lobster, but was disappointed it was the size of a large prawn.
Also had the bread and butter pudding , which was dry at the ends.
But honestly I eat here often and most of the dinners are usually excellent.

Me and my friend had a fantastic time. Food was tasty and delicious and staff was very nice and efficient. The special perk belly was wonderful . The only thing that requires attention is the coffee. My friend ordered a double espresso . When it was delivered or tasted like it was burnt and there was not the distinctive double espresso crema on top but this did not spoil our wonderful experience at all.

Great place for a special celebration, a real treat from start to finish. My parents said it was one of the best meals they had ever had, as they are both in their 70s and have worked in catering for much of their lives, they've eaten a few special ones. Great food, great service and fabulous Christmas trees to admire in the bars and lounges.
