Bringing its acclaimed concept to London, Smith & Wollensky is the UK’s first opening for the acclaimed American steakhouse. S&W is housed in the Art Deco Adelphi building just off the Strand, and boasts an on-site butcher and a dry-aging room to the rear of the restaurant.

The signature dish on the Smith & Wollensky menu is the 24oz USDA prime dry-aged rib-eye, with many other cuts of offer. Other popular dishes include the shellfish platter, and herb-crusted yellowfin tuna. Try the apple tarte fine with salted caramel sauce for dessert: all puddings also come with a suggested wine pairing.

Featuring an abundance of leather and wood, S&W’S design conjures the classic American dining room. Spread over 2 floors and boasting 2 glitzy bars, gourmet ‘snacks’ include truffled mac n’ cheese, or oysters and sirloin carpaccio.

Smith & Wollensky in London boasts an array of private dining rooms, an expansive list of reworked cocktails, and daily butcher’s specials. Find it a 3-minute walk from Charing Cross Station.

We were to couples on a long weekend trip to London. We wanted to end a great trip with a good steak at a nice steakhouse. We managed to book a table at Smith & Wollensky on Saturday evening. The place wasn't too crowded.

First, the food was amazing. As a starter I had the Scampi, which was a hit. It was very tasty and the consistency of the scampi was perfect.
All in our party had the chateaubriand and it tasted simply marvelous! I ordered it Medium cooked, and it just melted in the mouth.
The sides and sauces too was impeccable.
We also had deserts. I had the cheesecake which was a perfect ending to a perfect night.

All in all, the best meal of the weekend.

Also, our waiter did a terrific job of keeping us happy with his attentive manner and knowledge about the menu.

    Highly recommended!

What can I say. Amazing food with amazing service. Staff are well trained in US style customer service and the USDA beef speaks for itself....Have gone to S&W 9 times now and will definitely be going back.

The staff are welcoming and friendly making the whole dining experience very enjoyable. Having eaten at the Sand W in New York we were really looking forward to the meal here and it didn’t disappoint. We only had one small complaint. The carpaccio of squid and chorizo which we shared is absolutely tiny !! We thought it was hilarious when we saw it but overall we loved this restaurant. We shared the sirloin steak ,which is huge, and had creamed spinach and Mac & cheese to go with it. I had messaged the restaurant beforehand to tell them that it was my wife’s retirement tat day and they prepared a small dessert with a lovely message iced on the plate.

Stunning restaurant with so many features, Tiffany glass, Art Deco painting, Tiled flooring. Every inch is polished and immaculate. The Bar service is exceptional as is the Restaurant Service and the food and wine. Known for delicious steaks - but the Steak and Kidney pudding and the fish are great too. The Manager, Richard Chebbi, was charming as usual, and takes such pride in the Restaurant, the product and the staff. Looking after every customers individual needs and making them feel special.

I booked this deal as seemed to be of great value and wasn't disappointed at all, especially by the service and the food. Food was delicious from starters to desserts with the steak being the star of the evening. Staff was especially friendly and helpful - especially our waiter Spyros who was particularly helpful in recommending wines and accommodating our changes on the menu. Overall, a very satisfactory evening

Over hyped export from the States. We booked via Bookatable the 3 course meal, on arrival, we were bluntly told that the offer is only valid before 6:30, we were seated at 6:35. Overall, the wine list is impressive, oysters were fresh, burgers and ribs were just fine. Took another 15 mins for someone to take our order for puddings. Keylime pie was divine. It is a shame the service is so lackluster and they genuinely do not care about diner experience.
